View Full Version : Has JR got his own way? (Raw spoilers)

Well, JR has been complaining for a while about the state of tag team wrestling. Raw starts and the first two matches contain three actual teams (not two guys thrown together). One of the teams is a team we know he's in to, and have been brought back...is this a new start for the tag division?

Or will we just end up with the same old shit?

Best not to try and expect anything and just wait and see i think.

S(ame) O(ld) S(hit).

We'll probably get a good tag team division for a few weeks.

JR doesnt have that type of stroke anymore. But needless to say it is nice to see tagteam wrestling, but it wont last.

I hope so. London and Kendrick going over Holly/Rhodes was a pleasant surprise, and seeing Cryme Time back was great.

Now if they would just unite the damn tag belts.... there aren't nearly enough good teams to go after two sets of belts. It's a clusterf*ck and the titles have little to no meaning.

I was wondering why the hell two tag matches started. It was pretty crappy if you ask me.

THe titles only have no meaning because they aren't utilized as importmant.

They really don't need to unite the tag titles. Miz and Morrison are great tag champs and have some good contenders on ECW and Smackdown! Jesse and Festus, Wang and Moore, Delaney and Dreamer (I know I know, but the matches they had were great), The Throwbacks, and the Edge Heads.

Now on Raw we have Holly and Rhodes which are a solid team, TNT, Cryme Tyme is back, London and Kendric, and The Highlanders. Sure Raw deffinatly needs more tag teams and needs to push the ones that have. There is is still enough potential to keep the titles separate and make them really good. I think WWE should try to make the WWE Tag Titles more like the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Titles but they don't need to really call it that.

I think one brand should have real tag teams.

I think they should just unite the tag belts and make it so tag teams can compete on two rosters going after the tag titles.

Thats a good idea.

It is pretty pathetic when you use your tag champs as jobbers. Wasnt it just a few weeks ago when they had them get squashed, what sense does that make.

I'd just like to see John Morrison & The Miz show up on every show claiming to be the Tag Team Champions of the WWE, so they have the right to go everywhere. London & Kendrick, who should win the belts on RAW, can take exception to this.

Cryme Tyme returning is a bit of a surprise. They're not my favourite team, but they have charisma in large quantities. I'd like to see RAW be more for "entertainment" based tag teams (Cryme Tyme, Jesse & Festus, Deuce N' Domino, The Highlanders, etc.) while SmackDown! becomes home for the more "fun match" based tag teams (MnM, London & Kendrick, Moore-Wang, The Disciples of Edge and maybe Cade/Murdoch just to freshen them up).

I'm beginning to think that only the Main Event singles wrestlers should be subject to the brand split. Then they could use tag teams and divas (and crusierweights if they ever bring back the belt) when ever and where ever they like. One set of tag team belts, one women's championship, traveling over both brands, three world titles and two midcard titles.

Also, Cryme Tyme is awesome.
