-Edge and Chavo start the show. They are upset that they lost their titles at WrestleMania, and feel bad that they have let their fans and Vicky down. They are both getting title rematches at Backlash. Also tonight, Vicky has signed Kane vs. Taker.
- Non-Title Match: Matt Hardy defeated MVP © in a 15-minute match. JT says, "They picked up right where they left off."
- Festus squashed Edge Guy Zach Ryder. JT says, "Festus destroyed him."
- HBK is out to the ring. Batista comes out to interrupt him. Batista is angry with HBK, and calls him egotistical. HBK tries to smooth it over, but Batista makes HBK feel guilty for beating Flair and says he should have laid down for Flair. Batista tosses down the mic and leaves. HBK gives his mic to the ring guy, is sad and leaves.
- Vladimir Kozlov defeated Matt Bentley in a very quick match.
- Non-Title Match: The Miz and John Morrison © defeated Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang
- After the match the Great Khali came out and beat down all four men. He grabbed the mic and started to talk about the Big Show, who then came to the ring. They stared down and Khali left like on Raw.
- Kane and The undertaker went to a double count out as they did the double big boot spot and couldn't answer the 10-count.
- The first 10+ Minutes was a "grappling bout," as they wrestled, hit no signature moves and just worked basic wrestling. After the double KO boot spot, they both did the sit up. Edge, Chavo and the Rated Rmy hit the ring and beat them down. Kane and Taker then did the double sit up again, chokeslam on Edge, one for Chavo and then double tombstones to close the show.

Didn't they release the I LOVE DOUBLE DOUBLE E guy? After Vince realized he shouldn't be getting a push? Or was that some other guy?

Well no one had any idea that Cryme Tyme was going to come back, and there was the time where Boogen was released and came back 3 weeks later.

Funny. I naturally assumed that every one of your posts would now make reference to the new ECW Champion. :p
BTW you need an avatar. Jewmaga was the best for you I think.

Your response reminded me of the newest Strong Bad e-mail, and it made my giggle.

Boo, they should have put Matt Bentley over. The Heartbreak Cousin, bitches!
Not really liking the way they are building up Edge and Chavo. I was reading something which pointed out The Undertaker's shoulders were down when he had the Gogoplata locked in. Edge should be using that as justification for his rematch, rather than just "I want a shot." Chavo should be complaining that he was ready for Kane, but the Big Red Machine had to attack him from behind to win.
One thing I do like, is that Kane and The Undertaker are being treated like equals, which boosts Kane's rep, and makes the ECW Championship look on par (sorta) with the World Heavyweight Championship, which just headlined WrestleMania. I'm beginning to feel good about the belt again. They put Big Show over as a 5-time World Champion, which includes the ECW Title, and the belt is on Kane, a former WWE Champion. Now all they have to do is start advertising CM Punk, John Morrison and Chavo Guerrero as former World Champions, as unlikely champions they seem to be.
Not sure I like Festus "destroying" Zack Ryder. I'm fine with Festus winning, I guess, but maybe more of a back and forth contest to actually allow the guys to stretch in the ring. I'd also much rather see Festus use an F-5 as a finishing move, and not the fireman carry flapjack. I liked it better when it was part of Carlito's moveset.
Batista teasing a heel turn is great shit. Shawn Michaels should be moved to SmackDown!, or Batista to RAW, and they should work a match at Backlash. Dave's face act is getting a little stale, so a heel run could really freshen him up. I'd go as far as having Ric Flair take his side as a manager. That would be pretty sweet stuff.
I'm not very big on Vladimir Kozlov, as I alluded to. Maybe he's improved in the ring, but I don't know. Not really feeling him as a character or a wrestler. Much more interested in Bentley.
The match between MnM and Moore-Wang sounds good, as their battles usually are. I would have been more interested if Moore-Wang went over, though, so they could lay claim to a title shot. Or it should have been for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Big Show vs. Khali is not very stimulating, though. I just hope they put Big Show over at Backlash.
Matt Hardy and MVP will no doubt be the major reason to watch this show. The better Hardy is back, and the best program of 2007 continues. United States Title Match at Backlash, baby.
Kane looks on the up. Which is puzzling since over the last year he's been being built down more and more (or rather 'less and less') losing more consistently, appearing more of just a big jobber, and even being eliminated first in some Smackdown battle royal match just a week or two ago... Suddenly he is Undertaker's equal. I'm not really complaining, though.

That is what past good booking can do.
If your treated right once, people will forget the crap and still associate to the good. That is the only reason Kane can still get by as legit.

Sounds like a good show beyond Khali destroying both tag teams.
But . . . are we really calling Nitro and Miz MnM? Also, Rated Rmy? Balls. Ugly balls.

I like the feud of hbk/batista even tho it makes no sense as to why hbk is now appearing on smackdown all of a sudden.

Absolutley. Matt Bentley actually got to wrestle a televised match, I could see a dark match, but he actually got on tv.
I have never really been impressed with him, but since when has the WWE been good at seeing talent.
Yeah that's not the way it happened.
You can't even understand what Khali was saying. And who the hell is JT? Also they were going to present a chopper to the top Diva which Michelle won and then Victoria came out and tried to take on Michelle then Nattie Neidhart came and beat on Michelle and slapped Cherry.
Kane and Taker big booted each other and did a double sit up at the 8 count and then Edge, Chavo and the Edge-heads came and beat on them and then celebrated. Then Kane/Taker sat up again and threw the Edge-heads out, double choke-slammed Edge/Chavo and then tombstoned them.
Also the Batista promo sounded like a shoot on HBK.

Yeah, I'm afriad that the ECW title is only going to be treated as a world title when it can be used to knock up a guy's numbers a bit. Aka right now Morrison is just a guy, but if he won the WHC tomorrow he woudl suddenly be a "2-Time champion." They do the saem thing with the WCW title, which makes me wonder, has anyone ever referred to Ron Simmons as a former world champion?

But yeah, Taker vs Kane does a lot to elevate the ECW title. The World Heavyweight Champion being unable to beat the ECW Champion makes the ugliest belt in history look like it may be worth something, and as it's Taker vs Kane, it doesn't really hurt the WHC any. Hopefully this isn't just that post-Wrestlemania logic syndrome that's usually worn off by SummerSlam...
