On one hand I wanted to see the good guy win in the end with Foley going over. But Randy Orton getting a clean win over a legend like Foley just catapults him to a sure main eventer within the next year (I'm hoping as a face).

I have to agree.
There was a lot of freakin' boring stuff last night.
But the ending...
Well, my SN says it all:
Dead End--WM XX on PPV: $50. Snacks: $5. The stain on the floor when Benoit wins: Priceless.

Satellite went retarded last night so I ended up having to watch the webcast this morning. It was interesting to say the least. Just about anything I had to say has already been said somewhere in the thread. I'd just like to say one more time that it's a crime that Akio didn't get to participate in the Open. It's even worse that London wasn't even entered.

Right, its almost 6.30AM here, and I woke up at 9.30AM, I am tired, what I meant to say was:
Why was Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan annoyed with the fans when the announcer (I forget who it was :o ) announced his name, he started pointing at a section of them, and then nearly fell over backwards afterwards ( :$ )
They were chanting 'Weasel'

Personally I REALLY enjoyed the show. The hype at the start, pre-show video, fireworks - all freakin awesome.
Cena's the man and I'm huge mark for him so I was with him all the way for the opening match. Great choice to have him kick-off the show.
Raw Tag Title match wasn't bad at all and I'm glad they kept the belts on RVD/Booker and made them look super-strong. A title change here would of simply been over-looked when looking back at Mania.
The backstage segments were great. Benoit/Eddie's was good for what it was, but was followed up superbly at the end of the night. Heenan/Mean Gene's was great :)
Christian vs. Chris Jericho was great. Both men clearly looked like they wanted to steal the show and didn't disappoint. The feud will continue and Trish's heel turn - though it had been rumoured - surprised me. She looked so god-damn hot when she had turned as well
Rock 'n' Sock vs. Evolution was great entertainment and was placed really well on the card. Rock's pre-match promo was good along with Evolution's (re-telling the story leading in a pretty classy way). I was surprised Evolution went over but it made sense - a dominating group of 3 men vs. 2 should beat a man who hasn't wrestled in a year and another that hasn't wrestled in 4. Will Foley vs. Orton as a feud continue?
Hall of Fame Ceremony=classy.
Playboy Evening Gown Match= :naughty: :) How couldn't you enjoy it as a red-blooded male. It served to cool the crowd down and was never meant to be serious.
I'm in two minds about Lesnar vs. Goldberg. It was surreal and incredible to watch. Lesnar, though I was a fan of his has made a strange decision leaving and you've got to understand why some fans will be pissed off. Brock was given a push/position only two others (Hogan and Warrior) have really got in WWE. He was in a position as 26 years-of-age that many wrestlers and fans can only dream of.
Sure it's a hard business, but he was getting main-event PPV buy-rate cuts, a great salary and a fantastic push. The company had put so much time and effort into turning him into a bona-fide star and then he changes his mind? Decides to leave? Bitterness and anger is understandible from WWE fans and the NA-NA-NA-NA-NA chants were OK. The boos were OK. The 'This match sucks' chants were over-the-top and kinda ****ed things up. Bizarre, surreal and kinda sad to watch - but strangely entertaining none-the-less.
SD! Tag Title match. Meh. Whatever - been nice if WGTT had won since they are by a distance the best tag team WWE has right now. Hopefully their win will come soon and be a bigger deal with less going on around it.
Women's Title wasn't bad. Kinda shocked to see Molly shaved.
WWE Title match. REALLY good. **** match in my book. Eddie was awesome again and his reversal from the Angle Slam into a DDT was a thing of beauty. Superbly booked and well thought out finish that keeps the feud going which can only be a good thing.
Taker's Return got the chills going I tell ya. The match was never going to be great but it was fantastic spectacle.
World Title Main Event was the MOTN. Brilliantly booked, some sick spots, great psychology and wrestling - everything a true WWE main event is. All three men worked their arses off and I was relieved the crowd were with them all the way. Good to see Benoit get the chants he deserved and the win had me marking out big time.
Having Eddie and Benoit together at the end was perfect. A brilliant end to my favourite WrestleMania ever.
Yeah he is.

ok... WWE Hits -
Molly getting shaved
Trish heel turn
Benoit winning the belt.
Cena winning but having to cheat, hence not taking away from show as being a "giant".
Putting over RVD and Booker as Tag champs.
Misses -
Taker - WTF, at least a little black eye shadow...
Goldberg v. Lesner - LMFAO at the fans killing this match
Jessies Interview - Bathroom break.
putting over Kish and Scottie as tag champs
Thats my take...

I can';t believe people are saying it'sthe worst Wrestlemania ever. At least it wasn't predictable! Who could've predicted the crowd during Lesnar/Goldberg? Did anyone really expect Molly to have her head shaved? The only thing that kept this from being the greatest Wrestlemania ever was the Undertaker's god-awful outfit that put a damper on my most anticipated match of the night, and the most anticipated match for msot people.
Come on people... You all KNOW that 7, 9, 11 and 16 were not NEARLY as good as this one... If you don't think so, watch them again. Or better yet, don't watch 7, 9, 11 or 16 again, it's a waste of time.

People are nuts. This was easy 3rd or 4th best ever. People forget how sh</>itty Mania 1-6 were for a start. 7 had 3 good matches, 8 had 2 good matches, 9 was awful, 13 was crap aside from 1 match. The rest were decent-good.

The Jericho bit, I actually semi-called.
Rock 'n' Sock was out of the blue. I really didn't expect that.

Anyone who recorded WM, take a look after the Christian-Jericho match. After Trish and Christian kiss the camera shows Jericho, then Trish and Christian, then Jericho who spits, then back to Trish and Christian. The second time you see Trish and Christian, look at Christian's face AS SOON as it shows him. He's looking at Jericho with the funniest F'ing face for just a split second after the camera goes to him with his tongue stuck out to the side and his eyes bugged out.

I think the talk about this WM being poor has been made worse by the incredible hype about the event. People are thinking "sure it was good, but it could have been so much better"...that's just my take on the feedback though.
As for me I thought it was decidedly average-good for long periods before picking up.
Cena going over the Big Show - cool
Didn't really care for the Raw Tag Titles at all to be honest - I like both Booker T and RVD but wasn't really rooting for them and their music sucks.
Christian vs Jericho was great - as has been mentioned many times Trish's turn was well done - yes she did look hotter afterwards - Christian is a killer heel, Jericho is simply Jericho, and it should continue to be a good feud hopefully.
Rock and Sock vs Evolution - good match, flair and rock bits were funny as hell. Oh and the Rock promo before hand made me miss the Rock badly :(. Great to see Evolution going over the RKO coming out of nowhere was cool.
Playboy match ...well saw 4 women rolling around cool :y: Stacey is the hottest.
Cruiserweight was mad dissapointing IMO. Turned out to be some bullshit open with 1v1. The whole buildup had been saying how unfair it was on Chavo fighting 9 people and then when the actual match comes he ends up with the best position out of everyone facing the last of the original 9. Akiro not getting in wtf. Ultimo :(. Holy shit at SSP even if he didn't pull it off completely and looked like he ****ed himself up. Basically some people got elimited too quickly (funaki) wrong format and not enough holy shit spots for a 10 man cruiserweight battle.
Lesnar Vs Goldberg hmmmmmmmmm well at first the chants were hilarious - didn't realise there'd be so many hardcore internet fans in attendance - what would the marks think they were going on about?! The match itself sucked dick but after the crowd reaction i guess that would be expected. The crowd was funny but killed the match which meant it was good the crowd was funny because otherwise there would have been nothing worthwhile...if you get me?! Surreal.
SD Tag again didn't really care for this one but i was rooting for WGTT. Infact just a change from Rikishi and Scotty who annoy the hell out of me and have shit all talent. Pretty routine match - not PPV material really.
Women's title...I really like Victoria but then I didn't want Molly to have her head shaved :( poor girl.
WWE Title Match was great. Both put on a great match. Great reversal on the Angle Slam. FANTASTIC ENDING - Cheat 2 Win Baby. Great to see Eddie retain.
UT vs Kane - Dissapointed not to see the "proper" deadman but still a mark out moment. Sweet entrance with fricking Paul Bearer!!! Tombstone was cool as. Not a great wrestling match but was never going to be.
Raw Title - THE match for me. It seriously would have been dissapointed if HHH retained  but still would have been a good match. Benoit winning cleanly on the other hand just made it fantastic. I have to say HHH did ok :$ nothing great or anything and jesus christ at Michael's blood. Generally just got into this match the most and the result just made it end on a complete high - continued in the Eddie and Benoit section.
So yeah entertaining - not as great as the hype but then what could have been. It was worth staying up for :)

Also, whoever mentioned the Hogan chants during the Lesnar/Goldberg match was RIGHT, it was the funniest thing that I have ever seen
Basically, it was all in sections 328 and 329, where I was, who honest to god, were the best sections in the whole arena, nearly ALL the chants started from the section, including (and you might be able to hear it on the tape) a chant of "329, 329" which as pretty funny.
Anyway, in section 328, there was a kid wearing a hogan costume, shirt, tights, the thing he wears around his neck, the works, and also some kid dressed in a Macho Man get up, with "Reinstate Macho Man" on the back.
With Goldberg/Lesnar taking about an hour to do a move, we all started a chant of "Hogan Sucks" at this kid who was doing all the Hogan taunts, and then "Macho, Macho" at the other kid. This prompted Hogan to run up the steps and confront Macho, in the funniest thing I have ever seen, the crowd reaction was huge, and if you watch to should be able to see most of the front row turning around looking up at it, anyway they basically started doing the taunts at each other, and did this little pull apart thing, with both of em shouting and taunting at each other, and then the guy dressed as Macho kind of backed down, and the Hogan kid ripped open his shirt, prompting a huge pop and chants of "Hogan"
Truly amazing
Also, the biggest pop of the night was Benoit winning the title, people hugging each other in celebration, defeaning noise, just pure emotion.
Also, Molly going bald was bull</>shit, I was disgusted
