WWE logo making it's debut at Wrestlemania XX,where is it?

Out of curiosity, did they ever actually promise unveiling a new logo at WM, or was it just rumored?

From what I heard on the PWInsider "No Name" Show, Dave Scherer and Buck Woodward said they'd never heard of it beyond it being an internet rumor, so I don't think it's true.
