Earthworm Jim is back. Yes, Interplay is teaming up with Douglas TenNapel, the creator of the machine-gun wielding worm, to produce a fourth game in the platform series.
Jim, an earthworm in a robotic suit, was a bit of a star back in the 1990s. He made his debut on Mega Drive in 1994 and his debut was ported onto SNES and Game Boy Advance.
Then, in 1999, Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 The Galaxy would come to Game Boy Color and Earthworm Jim 3D hit N64.
So while no platforms have been confirmed as yet, Earthworm Jim has some Nintendo heritage and it wouldn't be a big surprise to see the new game on Wii or DS.
Anyone a fan? I only played the N64 game which I wasn't very fond of but I hear the 2D games where great.
I think it will probably be multiplatform, myself.
