I have oblivion, so first and foremost tell me some neat shit to do in that,
secondly what games should i get?
I already preordered GTA4 and will get it the day that bitch comes out.
I really want mass effect, and sort of want bioshock.
I'm into games with sandbox esque stuff or really great rpgs with choices and such. Basically i like exploration, downtime, etc.
However I also enjoy good puzzle games from time to time and an occaisonal sports game here and there.

Compare feature sets of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, the facts will speak for itself. Nuff said.

Clox seems to like games with purpose and chill moments and Halo 3 has that, with Foundry and such. And he could try my maps and gametypes! And I'm generally excited about a C-Boyz get together. In GTA 4, red shirts!

I've played Halo 3. I've never been great at the Halo games, not that I've invested much time into them. I think they are fun, for sure, but I just don't really enjoy playing them constantly Like once I beat campaign on legendary and play a little bit on live I'm kinda eh with those.
I'm thinking Blue Dragon looks really good. Has anyone picked this up?
also my gamertag is IndifferentClox but I just have silver now.
If anybody wants to pm me some redeemable points I'll be very happy, lol.

My brother's been playing Blue Dragon. From what I can see, it looks like a decent (if not slightly too kiddy) RPG. It uses the Toriyama art style, so it looks like Dragon Ball Z in 3D, basically. Not the DBZ games, tho; there's none of that cell-shading. Typical turn-based, class-based stuff it seems.

All of these Xbox titles work too, if you haven't already got them.

Clox, I would suggest Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, and BioShock for single-player gaming. Those are some of the best ones you can get.
Rainbow Six: Vegas 2
Or there's something seriously wrong with you.

Let's say I have like 50 bucks to spend Monday the 28th
I already preordered GTA4
should i get
A) Microsoft points for DC (for Shivering Isles and GTA4 expansions when they comesout)
B) Xbox Live subscription (I'll get this on my birthday if not)
C)Mass Effect
D) Bioshock
E) Blue Dragon
F) some other game?
Also is lost odyssey really that good?

First off, do not buy points if you want Shivering Isles. The Oblivion Game of the Year edition comes with SI and Knights of the Nine. It is sixty, but you get everything all together.
If you are to get a subscription for your birthday, just wait off on that.
Now, you are stuck between four games listed, I have played through all of them, I would suggest Mass Effect of Lost Odyssey over all of them.
BioShock is an AMAZING game, but it is the shortest of the three. Easily a ten-to-fifteen hour adventure. It is a good rental, but once you beat it, all you have left is finishing the achievements if you want a full 1,000 posts.
Blue Dragon is done by Mistwalker, and was their first game. It is interesting, and three discs long, however, Lost Odyssey is Mistwalker's third game, and four discs long. It is a MUCH better RPG, and if you like FF type games, you will love it (I hate Final Fantasy, but LO is great).
Mass Effect is one of the- if not the- best game on the 360. You will spend a lot of time just reading stats and bios you do not have to read, and doing EVERYTHING can be an easy forty hours of gameplay. Also, unlocking achievements unlocks extra features in the game, so it is nice.
But, it is your call. Call of Duty 4 is really good too, and is highly played online. The story mode is nice, but rather short. Same with Gears or Halo. Those games are good for their multiplayer more so than their single.

Other things to consider man:
I have oblivion already and am not gonna buy the game of the year addition.
I really Want to play GTA 4 online. Like as soon as I get it.
While I love FF I love Dragon Quest even more.
Does Blue Dragon/ LO have lots of little easter eggs?
I'm probably going with mass effect or a subscription. I just can't decide.
I'd love a timeframe for when the new content would be coming out.
I might just get some cigs.

About Blue Dragon
"The main narrative isn't filled with many twists and turns but even the expository cut-scenes are entertaining, even if they do suffer from occasionally awkward translations. The game world is also vibrant and expansive, with nearly every rock and bush acting as a home to currency, jewelry, and permanent stat bonuses. There are even some character diaries and imaginary novels hidden in furniture, just waiting to be discovered."
I like little imaginary novels and charecter diaries hiding in furniture.
"Take on a handful of baddies at once, and a fight could break out between incompatible enemies; nasty rats will start gnawing on overgrown crickets instead of attacking your crew."
awesome.
About Lost Odyssey
One review said it had MMORPG like qualities. Such as?
What saves this from being a simple RPG? What is the level of exploring and sidequests and open endedness to it?

I don't like straightforward games I realized. As amazing as Bioshock was, I didn't feel compelled to continue because I knew i'd have to do one thing. With oblivion or GTA4 I have like 15 different things to do at any given time.

Yeah dead rising looks great. But I played it back in the day and got really pissed that I couldn't save everyone in the beginning.
I too just bought an xbox 360.
Greatest deal on the planet too. Got the premium edition brand new with the 20 GB HD and all the works, along with GTA 4, all for $318. I couldn't resist cause I've been meaning to buy a new console for a while now since I took a brief hiatus from new video games for the past 2 years.

Dead Rising's save system sucks, as does its thumbstick controls, and it's also a bit hard for my liking, which is a pity because it could be fucken amazing.
Crackdown is awesome. Gonna get NHL 08, Guitar Hero 2 and 3 next week, and might even get GTA 4, I got a $350 gift certificate coming from work :D
