I think it's been fine as of late. Just at the time, it was terrible. They resorted to Khali as there was just nobody else with an ounce of credibility to carry it. Khali was a quick fix as he could easily be built as an unstoppable monster, but you could tell it wasn't planned.

How about we stop asking for a draft that doesn't matter? Seeing as how being "on a brand" doesn't mean anything, who gives a shit what color thier guy's badge is? People are constantly going on whatever show they want, so why not just forget the damn draft and solidify the definition of "brand" before "shaking things up". That way, someone might actually notice the change.

That's exactly my point. That's why I said last year that they should let things settle for about 5 years and THEN do a draft when it would actually MEAN something.

People do switch brands arbitrarily at times. But the whole shakeup point is irrelevant at this point in time. What's more my point (and it would be relevant if WWE practiced long term booking) would be long drawn out feuds. Whereas we had HBK and Batista just feud for one ppv on each others shows; we could have that as a more drawn out, fleshed out feud if both guys are on the same shows.

Again, WWE doesn't do long term booking, so its a moot point.

Though with both guys on the same show, they do tend to emphasize the history between the two more it seems

Until they treat Smackdown and ECW as equals or close to equals to RAW, the draft doesn't mean anything but LIVE, aired, promoted demotions and promotions within the WWE roster.

No more, no less. Like in the current realm of things Triple H or John Cena or Shawn Michaels or Randy Orton are going to move to Smackdown. Yeah right. Even if they do move up someone like Edge or Undertaker and we get some "fresh" programs, it still only hurts the Smackdown and ECW brands and damages the product as a whole.

I said it last year, but I think the WWE Draft should be handled more like the draft in real sports. They should highlight prospects from FCW and the Indy scene, and "draft" the developmental guys that are ready to move up. I'd be a lot more interested in something like that, rather than randomly shuffling the rosters, which they already do anyway.
