Yeah this new walls is terrible. Doesn't look like it'd hurt at all either. I'm only really replying cos I want to state clearly my LOL for this:

I'd say some time in the summer of 2001. He was applying it the awesome way all through early 2001, including on HHH in the memorable tag team title match on Raw where HHH tore his quad.
I don't know when he stopped after that, or if that had anything to do with it, but by the end of the invasion era he was applying the safe-style version of the walls (boston crab)
So it's sometime between early summer 2001-late winter 2001

Yeah, 2001 seems to be about the time he stopped, I also found it funny, that during his match with Austin at Armageddon, Austin was seemingly allowed to put on the version that would seem like it would hurt, yet in the match, Jericho put him in the Safe walls.

Yeah I think summer 2001 sounds about right. The last one I remember is Rhino at Summerslam.

Isn't this new of the WOJ really the same as a Boston Crab?

I would think he would at least break it out for big matches. Fuck, Booker T broke out the harlem hangover a few times.

I was impressed to see a rough looking crab on Punk during the KOTR. Not quite a liontamer but a real boston crab (not the crappy crab that just bends at the knee)
He doesn't do it now because it apparently hurts guys.
I dunno.

Yeah, they said his WOJ was "too stiff" which, to me, says they got some professional pussies back there.

one time i gave my brother a walls of jericho and lost my balance, falling over backwards. i heard his neck snap like 3 different times and i quite frankly shit myself. his neck was fucked forever. it was godly.

Guys just short.
Rick Martel did a better boston crab than Y2J does now.
They work spots like getting to the ropes now. Doesn't work the Martel way. Another reason why I prefered the Liontamer.

Dunno about Jericho, but Kurt Angle put a perfect one on Samoa Joe at Lockdown (or maybe it was the other way, I don't remember).
This was Juan unnecessary bump.
