He could really. Heath's final great curtain call, its poetic.

I'm not going to watch the movie analysing if Ledger was better than Jack but after I may think back an critique it.

maybe it wouldn't be fair to the memory of Ledger to compare him to an all time cinema great such as Jack
I dunno, but if the charachter lives up to the trailer's i've seen. He should get an Oscar. Cause he looks fantastic in it. Really dark and really pyscho. But we'll have to see the movie.
I think this Batman movie is gunna break a ton of records when it opens too.

I never really liked Jack's Joker. It's just Jack Nicholson goofing around. I never thought, "Hey, that's The Joker." I thought, "That's Jack Nicholson with a lot of makeup."
Heath Ledger appears to have lost himself in the role.

I think the versions of the Joker they are playing, are so different that it becomes unfair to compare them. It really comes down to personal preferance, as opposed to one being definitivly better than the other.
That said, I like the grittier, realistic Nolan style, rather than the goth-cartoonish style of burton, so I'll probably like ledger's version better.

I too agree with this. Jack gave a good performance, and I love him in that movie, but I don't find the Joker to be as good a Joker representation as Ledger promises to have.
Which goes down to what U-Warrior is saying... the two different styles of the films... and I think that Nolan's style is going to do more to truly capture the essence of The Joker.
How the fuck can anyone know until they've seen the new film you stupid fat idiot?

We're dealing with oil and vinegar here. Two different things, equally great in their own way.
Nothing I can say that hasn't been said before. Just that I can't wait for TDK.

What i have seen from Heath so far, blows anything Nicholson did out of the water.
Ledger does look fucking immense from the trailers, can't fucking wait
Has it been confirmed that Harvey Dent will actually be Two Face in this because if you watch the new trailer and pause it at 2:03 you can see him holding the gun and you can see the outline makeup of the other side of his face.

Here is what I think.
Jacks Joker does not fit into this new Batman movie, the same way Ledgers would not fit into the old one.

As for the comparisons, two totally different styles fit for two totally different styles of movies. Jack was incredible in his performance.
