The clip they showed at mania xx, him saying the only way tonight could be more perfect was if gorilla monsoon was there to see it. That hit anyone else hard? The way he said it was as if he was close to tears, just hearing him say it had me close to tears since i listened to those 2 in commentary for so many years. :'(

Bobby looks like he's been going through a lot through that cancer he's been suffering. He's lost a lot of weight. :'(

I noticed that too... Ironically enough when I saw him I thought of how that happened to Gorilla Monsson right before he passed. :(

Yes, it was very sad seeing Heenan like that, and I feel badly about what he said. I was hoping he'd get a better response when he returned to Mania.

You were hoping for a better response? From what I was watching he got a damn good response from the crowd.

Poor Bobby. I was listening to an interview he did for Get In The Ring the other day, and I could hardly tell it was him, let alone what he was saying.

To get past all of the talk, skip ahead to 20:50. That's a good start.

He's been through a lot. It was definitely a touching moment, though I believe Bobby has been better lately. I thought he was going to announce, but apparently he didn't, right?

Heenan is the man plain and simple... If your a wrestling fan on this board and you never had the privlage of listening to the man do commentary listen to Royal Rumble 1992 and you'll realize how far ahead of the game he was even back then as compaired to contemporary announcers

Yeah that hit me hard. For my money there'll never be a better announce team than Gorilla and the Brain. RIP Gorilla Monsoon and long live Bobby the Brain Heenan.

Yeah, I started watching in 99. But I love the old stuff that I see, and have the Flair dvd. I just watched the Rumble 92 a few nights ago. It was classic.

I just saw a little clip of it on Smackdown and man it was sad, he looked very ill.

Ventura looked a bit different from the last time I saw him as well. Plus is he going to run for Presidency in the next few years?

LOL at his excuse for the reason his voice was messed up. He said he just came from an orgy.

Go to www.betweentheropes.com and listen to the last half of the show where they have Heenan's speech from the HOF dinner. Funny as hell and very typical Heenan.

Me too. You know what's sad though? Whether it's Bobby Heenan or the other inductees, these guys are frickin' legends, and there are younger generations of wrestling fans who (through no fault of their own) have no idea. I think it's very sad.

Well that's partly what the hall of fame is there for I guess.
