... Is one big worked shoot? With that Walk-off on Tuesday I doubt this is real. WTF.

It's a SWERVE

No. It's 100% real.
It's both and neither at the same time.
I hope that clarifies things for you.

Joey Styles will be on PBP next ECdub and no one on TV will mention the previous two weeks.

I hope this is one of those things the WWE forgets about and drops. It's just horrible
I hope they just air the entire show without commentary to cement that they're not around.
Then, the SmackDown! announcers walk off. Then RAW.
Eventually we find out that Adamle is leading an announcer's strike because they're not being paid for DVD and internet releases. They can even get Jesse Ventura come in as a "guest speaker". Then more old announcers join in, maybe even Tony Schiavone.
"This is the greatest strike in the history of our sport!"
During the strike they could have some other people do announcing. It could serve as a time to test new announcers on the main shows.

Hell. Maybe they should show an empty ring for 5 hours a week. IT'd probably be a lateral move, but...

STAMFORD, Conn. – WWE.com was finally able to reach Mike Adamle (http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/superstars/mikeadamle/) today; however, the lead ECW (http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/) commentator refused to discuss his decision to walk off the job during Tuesday night’s broadcast of ECW on Sci Fi (http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/).
Speculation remains rampant in the locker room as well as in WWE offices and at WWE.com headquarters. Some believe Adamle is quitting the company. Others say it’s simply a ploy to make more money.
The most popular belief is that his walk-out was a result of the hostile environment at WWE events. Superstars have not been shy about teasing the commentator about his on-air gaffes. Also, perhaps worst of all, Adamle has been greeted by shouts of “Please quit,” “You suck,” and even “Drop Dead!” from our fans in the rows closest to the announcers’ table.
Any one or a combination of all of these factors could contribute to the unprecedented event our viewers saw take place on Tuesday night. What exactly is the situation now? Is ECW missing a play-by-play commentator? It appears we will only get answers if Adamle returns for the next ECW on Sci Fi, Tuesday at 10/9 CT.

My theory is this: Adamle's fuck-ups were real, but somewhere along the line WWE decided to turn it into a gimmick and then a storyline. This has Joey Styles written all over it. And I love it.
Xero's idea of a Commentator's Strike is an awesome one. That'd actually be hilarious if they did that. Sure, ratings might be hurt... but then again, commentary isn't all that necessary if you think about it. I can enjoy a live event without commentary just fine. Either way, it'd still be hilarious if that happened.

If it wasn't a work, Tazz would probably not have left, and if he did, they would have rushed out Cole or Coach.
Was it a live broadcast? If not they could have easily dubbed in commentary.
Adamle is again making ECdub must-see-television, lol.

To Sum-Up: The most interesting thing about wrestling is not only centered around guys that don't wrestle, it's to do with their lack of being on the show.
Something about this is so awesomely backward....

Not only that, but the most interesting thing about wrestling is not only the actions of a non-wrestler who knows fuck all about wrestling, but the lack of his presence on the show.
I know it's more or less the same thing, but throw in the fact that the only association with wrestling Adamle has is the fact that he happens to have been hired by a company, it's even funnier.

Who the fuck are you, Vince Russo?
Just goes to show that I have watched waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much wrestling over the years.
My logic is now akin to WWE Creative.

Jumbo Shrimp isn't even an oxymoron, though many claim it is. The word "shrimp" doesn't always mean small in itself.

Not in the noun form, but as an adjective is implies something of a miniscule nature.

I'm looking forward to ECW this week?
Fucking Damn you, Vince! :foc:
Seriously, I think they probably picked up the HUUUUUUUGE ICW stink about the Jeff Harvey thing and they thought 'hey, let's use this guy to piss off the smarks'.
Ironic how Adamle now hosts WWE TV, and Hulk Hogan now hosts Gladiators.

Like I suggested in the other thread about this (and Fox has the original credit for this, I just added to it), make Adamle heel and bring in a wrestler for him to back a la the angle JR had with Dr. Death during the Attitude era (I suggested Kozlov, since the WWE really wants to push him and this would be a perfect chance to give him some angle to go on instead of being an orphaned wrestler). And to also say that his botches pales in comparison to the other commentators' and the many well-known botches in wrestling history.
Judging from the ECW Superstar page on WWE.com, nothing legit has happened yet, because both Adamle and Tazz are still on the list there.
Personally, I was listening to a little of his commentary from last week, and besides the numerous pauses (which is a pet peeve of mine anyway among commentators and is a WWE issue, alright to have some here and there but not when we need some info and some feeling into matches and spots), he wasn't doing THAT bad. He seemed to be a little self-deprecating on the mic (he's even suggested one time on AG that he didn't think he was as good as people made him out to be). I remember when EVERYONE was dogging on Cole when HE first began being a PBP man. He GOT more time to get familiar with the product, and he STILL got heat because he "wasn't JR". If it was that rough for Cole, imagine the shit they were giving Adamle.
I'll say again, though, I've read that he's a nice guy, so it would surprise me if he turned into a complete cocksucker between AG and the WWE.
I just want to see something of substance happen with this whole Adamle deal.

Yeah, because I always talk about commentator strikes.
I just hope they have Josh Mathews and Tazz handle ECW commentary from now on.

WHOOOOOOOSH!
Got to say, they played Adamle off PERFECTLY tonight.
He was obviously being fed his lines, but this is an awesome gimmick now. LOL at him claiming it wasn't a handicapped match.
They need to do this on every single show. He gets to call at least one match.
Afterlife

He needs ominous theme music for his surprise entrances and the lights must be dimmed for the matches he calls, so's they can put a spotlight on him at the commentators' booth.

In fact, make his music start with an audio clip from the movie Labrynth, where the Card Guards say "Bombombombommmmmm....Certain death!"
It should be Goldberg-esq music. He should get everything, a 1 minute intro like Rock's Hollywood opening, a large pyro display, piped-in "Adamle" chants...

Forget the pipe -- lay it over his theme music.
