You know in matches where there's heinous botchups that are mad ugly and you wish for the sake of the wrestlers they didn't happen?

E.G. yesterday when Booker and Bubbah screwed up a back body drop or a leap frog, I'm still not sure what the hell that was supposed to be.

Which are ones that didn't affect the match, and even perhaps added to the match?

The ones that come to my mind all occured in Jericho matches. First in Summerslam 2001 when he faced Rhyno, where he go concussed after a spear where he jumped from the top to the outiside and got GORED on the concrete. He climbed to the top twice after that and whiped out both times, but it added to the drama of the match, because it LOOKED like his equalibrium (sp) was messed up, and he had to overcome it.

Secondly was the Jericho vs. Christian match at Mania, where they were climbing to the top of the turnbuckly and both of them whiped out onto the top rope, but it was almost like "BAH! they've beaten the holy hell out of one another to this point, of course they're gonna whipe out" and before you know it Jericho hits a beautiful double underhook suplex off the top.

Any others?

What about the Kane/Taker match when I believe Kane was trying to give Taker a HotShot and Taker missed the ropes by at least one foot and just landed face first on the mat instead.

The funniest botched spot was on a Raw show in 2001 when Crash Holly faced Jacqueline in an intergender match. Jackie was on the outside and Crash attempted a suicide dive through the ropes. Crash's feet got caught on the rope and he tripped and fell.He never made it through the ropes. The crowd was chanting, "You ****ed up!" and Crash lost the match as well. I've shown that botched spot to friends who are non-wrestling fans and they laughed their ass off.

Yeah that's not the point of the topic.

Then what is? I would say that those two botched spots were kinda ugly and for Crash (RIP), it had to be embarrassing. The Taker/Kane spot could have been scary. What about Brock's Shooting Star Press at WM19?

The Rock would have said that this whole thread doesn't matter because every botch has some repercussions. If the Crash thing mattered and it was a low card intergender match, then what doesn't?

I mean when they kind of add to a match, and the crowd doesn't really notice.

Ultimo Dragon slipping at the entrance way at Wrestlemania was no big deal. Even though some people thought it was

The question is: What matches do you remember where the guy botched a move but the botch ended up making the match look better because the end result was more intense or exciting than the original move would have been?

Last year when the rope exploded when Jericho went for the Lionsault so he did it off the other rope instead. :y:

Remember when Owen Hart gave Austin the piledriver that killed his neck? After that, the ending was very, very weak.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, I was beginning to hear a You ****ed Up Chant in the Christian/Jericho Match when Jericho slipped.

And Yes, Rowdy, it did look like the Dudleys, were Stiffing up Booker and RVD a little for that matter.

But they were quickly disposed of.

Speaking of ropes breaking, how about when the Acolytes used the turnbuckles as weapons because they broke early in the match?

We all ask that same question.

When Orton missed the RKO on Jericho the other night. Jericho just kept on the Walls trying to get Batista to tap out. Kinda like Randy missing the move gave Jericho more time to get Batty to tap. Then Orton came back and hit the second one....
