It takes more than a steel cage match and Taker/Edge part 12 to keep me up till 4am. I'm gonna cancel my sky sports, the free PPVs are getting fewer it seems.
I'll look forward to catching this tomorrow afternoon via torrent, the rest of you british night owls, have a good night.

what happened so far?
Jericho/Michaels is on atm. Cena beat JBL. Jericho is wearing excellent tights. Dunno if anything else happened.

not the best PPV at all.

was Michaels Jericho Amazing or no? simple question.
Only saw the last 5 minutes. Seemed alright. Reversed the Walls of Jericho into a victory roll type thing. Dancing Dave threatened to do some damage to HBK in the locker room afterwards. Undertaker/Edge now
Okay, fair play to Vince for giving Vickie Guerrero a job and a regular (and i'm guessing pretty decent) paycheck. But surely it'd be in their better interests to pay her to stay off TV

I hate that woman and because of this. It means she's doing exactly what she is getting paid to do, so in turn, that earns respect.
And WOW what a shitty finish to that match
Impromptu MVP/Jeff Hardy match right now

Best parts were HBK/Jericho, Edge/Taker until the finish, and Jeff/MVP just cause they never really wrestle against each other.
And really, was there a main event cage match WITHOUT blood?

Best part of the night, the handshake between HBK and Jericho
Jericho kinda moves in for a hug at the end, HBK backs up like "I'm not falling for that again"

Pretty good PPV.
Cena/JBL was so-so. I felt it got too much time, but I liked the story that it told anyway. Also, it was shocking to see Cena open a PPV for the first time since...Great American Bash 2004?!
Miz/Morrison vs. Kane/Punk was a good match. Some good exchanges going on, but it wasn't anything too special. Just a solid tag match and I liked how Miz/Morrison retained.
Y2J/HBK was a great match, as most of us predicted. As the match was going on, I realized that Batista probably wasn't going to interfere, and therefore show up after the match. But, he didn't do that either, and we got a little segment, which was cool. As for the match, I loved the Codebreaker spot, and the wrestling was just awesome. Check this one out if you could. Not as good as WM 19 (obviously), but definitely worth a good look.
Women's Championship was a good match. Short and sweet I thought, and it really put Mickie over. That Beth spot was awesome with the double back-breaker submission.
I really enjoyed Taker/Edge, but I figured a screw job was coming in some fashion. Regardless, it was an enjoyable match with some new spots that these two haven't done before. Possibly better than Backlash, but I guess that's up to you.
Hardy/MVP was a good filler, and it was good to see Jeff. Solid match, nothing really that great, but it was better than a "Striker's Classroom" segment (or something like that) to kill 15 minutes. Good match though.
Cage match was pretty good. I didn't really get into it until about 12 minutes in or so. It was odd seeing a cage match headline a PPV since they usually headline RAWs nowadays, but yea, pretty good match. Bland finish though, nothing you haven't seen before in a cage match.
Overall, I don't really get all the hate on this PPV. It was probably the worst of 2008 (which isn't bad, considering all 4 PPVs thus far have been very good-great), but it was still a solid show that's worth a look :y:

Yeah I don't really get why everyone was slamming this PPV either. While I wouldn't say it was above the other PPVs this year, it was definitely worth a watch, and I didn't find myself bored during the show either.
Cena/JBL actually held my attention which is more than I can say for a Cena 1 on 1 match in the last year. And considering it was JBL on the other end, they really managed to surprise me. I was expecting crap vs crap, but the match was very well put together, and I can't stand either one of them, so that's saying a lot for me.
The tag championship match, nothing too special here, but then again, it was ECW.....what can you expect.
Jericho/HBK, while not quite as stellar as WM19, it was a very well put together match. It saw a lot of them predicting each other's moves and avoiding them, bringing back the past of them being familiar with each other's styles. The handshake at the end definitely being the highlight of the match, seeing much hesitation on HBK's part, showing that at least WWE doesn't ignore ALL history of their stars.
The women's title match was one of the best women's matches I've seen in the last few years. Then again, they threw 3 of the only women in the company that can actually wrestle so I guess that's to be expected. Beth Phoenix with the double backbreaker was damn impressive, and Mickie/Beth had a nice dropkick spot as well. Glad to see Mickie retain, she's over with every crowd she goes in front of and carries the belt well.
Taker/Edge was nothing less than you'd expect from a Taker PPV match. Great match, though the screwjob at the end was horribly predictable.
MVP/Hardy....typical Jeff Hardy match. Great to see him back in action, and he delivered just as well as before his suspension. Looks like they're gonna try and keep him in the same spotlight he was in before he was sent away.
The cage match was pretty good as well, though it'd be better if they would take away the pin/submission in the cage if it's just going to be a Pedigree finish. I'd rather see a Pedigree followed by an escape from the cage, but that's just my personal opinion.
Overall, it was a good watch. Don't see why this PPV was getting slammed so bad, as I didn't find myself bored at any point during the show.

It was alright. Not the worst. The main event was unwatchable though. The sound and picture kept breaking up here in the UK, due to the weather apparently. I want a refund.

The wrestling on the show was solid, some odd booking finishes but doesn't take away from the work. I just feel let down by HHH and Orton. Expected more from them.

I saw the ppv last night and thought Y2J/HBK was definitely match of the night. Women's match was great as well. Shocked to see Cena in the opening match, and even moreso when JBL dominated nearly the whole thing. Surprised to see Punk get pinned cleanly for the second time in 1 week. World Title match was decent until the end. Jeff/MVP was a decent filler. Cage match was decent as well, even though I didn't want HHH to retain.
