May 19th
On this day, of all days, we must remember history in the making!

1536 - Anne Boleyn, the second wife of Henry VIII of England, is beheaded for adultery.

1604 - The town of Montreal is founded.

1828 - U.S. President John Quincy Adams signs the Tariff of 1828 into law, protecting wool manufacturers in the United States.

1919 - Mustafa Kemal Atatürk lands at Samsun on the Anatolian Black Sea coast, initiating what was later termed the Turkish War of Independence. The anniversary of this event is the official date of commemoration of the Pontic Greek Genocide in Greece and Cyprus.

1921 - The Emergency Quota Act passes the U.S. Congress establishing national quotas on immigration

1962 - A birthday salute to U.S. President John F. Kennedy takes place at Madison Square Garden, New York. The highlight is Marilyn Monroe's infamous rendition of Happy Birthday……Kennedy!!!!!

1971 - Mars probe program: Mars 2 is launched by the Soviet Union.

2006- A bad movie called See No Evil comes out staring Kane, pissing off movie goes everywhere, and still upsets one wrestling fan who has a tattoo of a Kane’s mask

Wait…. Isn’t there something we’re forgetting?

Today of all days we should just jump on the bandwagon, and say K4L!!!

However, I don’t want this to be unwarranted, blind, fan boy worshiping. Some people believe that Triple H was going to win the King of the Ring in ‘96, but due to the incident at the garden he jobbed out to Jake Roberts, who then lost to a man in black trunks with a venomous mean streak, Steve Austin. If I need to tell you why this is important to wrestling history then you’re either intoxicated, or you have no idea where you are, possibly both.
Triple H, HBK, Hall, and Nash have all busted their asses off to make it to where they are today. While it’s true some people took a better route than others they’re still names that’ll draw attention to a card. Hall has his drinking buddies, Nash has a small cult following, HHH is headline PPVs, and HBK can draw a crowd without any titles on the line. Four talented in ring performers, all four have had their obstacles, all four of them stood in the same ring on May 19, 1996, as friends. To hell with kayfabe, friendship comes first.

Personally, I though See No Evil was hilarious.

It's just a shame that it wasn't meant to be funny.

But when a chick is hanging out of a window by a rope (held by Kane's character) and she's screaming "LET ME GO!!!" You find yourself thinking A. "You can't be that god damned stupid. Think of what you're asking" and B. "DO IT! KILL THIS STUPID BITCH!" When he does, instead of cringing, I find myself cheering.

That and Death by Cell Phone was awesome.

I can never get into movies with wrestlers in it. It took me about a year after the Rock left WWE to watch his movies.

I am probably saying this because I am a blind mark for him (argh, what am I saying probably for?) but Kane is the single greatest human being that ever lived. Possibly the greatest one whom ever live. Kane was born in Spain, so he probably can't run, but he should be President.

I haven't see See No Evil, but I like Kane's presence as an actor. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Glen Jacobs take on a serious acting role, instead of the shitty action/horror ones thrown his way because of the character he plays on WWE TV.

For example: I'd love to see Kane as a guy who works in an office. He is smart, articulate, but not very attractive, and is a large man. He finds a beautiful young woman who spins him into a flutter, and he manages to get her to agree to go out on a date with him, and then he finds out that she did so because she was intimidated by his size; that she's not "deep" enough to get around his physical appearance, etc.

Not anywhere near the most original story, but I can imagine him having a moment like Yaphet Kotto's Al Giardello in Homicide: Life on the Street when he suspects he is "too black" for a dark girl he is dating.

Glen Jacobs used to be a substitiute English teacher. That is something I'd like to see.

Also, See No Evil was a good first-time movie for a guy like Kane, because it showcases his potential as an actor thru the forum of a thoroughly shit company in LionsGate. At least it wasn't The Marine, or as I call it, Explosions: The Movie.
