The ratings may not be exact, KK, but the downwards trend would remain the same, wouldn't it?

That is correct, Alienoid.

Nah, JH, you're missing the point. KK gets his ratings direct from Nielsen's site, whereas the ratings quoted by wrestling sites are from some other source (the WWE or something, I think Youell said).

The direct-from-Nielsen ratings are always slightly lower (this 3.2 is probably a 2.8 or so for the Nielsen ratings), but the trends in ratings have pretty much always been the exact same - no matter Nielsen ratings or not. ('Not necessarily' is right in theory, but in practice I'd say the trends are almost 100% the same.)

Either way, we can all laugh at the WWE.

In practice, they're closer to 60-75% the same. The trends are right more often than not, but not even close to the "exact same."

Anyway, ratings have been sub-3.0 on a regular basis for a while, so, as Noid has said, we can still laugh at WWE.

Remember when Raw used to not get punked by Disney and Nickelodeon?

Remember <strike>when</strike> Raw <strike>used to not get punked by Disney and Nickelodeon</strike>?

The way the rating is going, we might be saying this!

I'm sure this isn't what WWE is looking for but until they start doing Impact numbers, I don't think it's that bad.

I blame Orton's new theme song.

Seriously though, nothing is surprising. They have done nothing to fix the current problems, and this is where they are. But at least they are selling lots of John Cena shirts.
