We do one of these every now and then, and apparently now is one of those times. Talk about some dream match ups you have.

TLC Match
Motor City Machine Guns vs. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick
I think that between the three teams (one of which I'm making up for purposes of my fantasy) could unleash some incredible stuff in a TLC setting. Even though they become very spot heavy, the matches with EC/Hardy/Dudleys remain a favorite of mine to just pop in and watch randomly. Personally, if this match ever makes it on a card, it'd be worth price of admission to see this one alone.

Iron Man Match
Christian Cage vs. Alex Shelley
Would probably never get the Iron Man stamp on it, but I'd die a happy boy to get to see those two work for an hour straight. Plus, I think both of them could go the distance and keep pace through the entire thing. Like I said, would never happen, but it's my fantasy dammit!

Cage Match
Christian Cage vs. Chris Jericho
Why a cage? Because I've seen a grudge match between them and loved it, now it's time to meaninglessly up the value by throwing on a gimmick. Plus, I'd imagine they'd have some cool spots worked out...oh and none of this pin or submit inside the cage shit, you have to escape

Oh, and of course, any match that Shawn Michaels is in kind of gets immediate attention from me.

You're very good at photoshop. I'll post my dream matchups in a bit.

I didn't photoshop anything. There is a website where you can make your own "Colbert On Notice" list. It's done automatically.

BDC wants to see Warrior v Stiener.

Bret 'Hitman' Hart versus 'The Whole Fucking Show' Rob Van Dam

Two of my absolute favourites growing up. I would have loved to see these two tangle up. Would be quite a mix of styles, but I'm sure both would pull off a brilliant match. I wouldn't know who to root for at all though.

RVD vs HBK in a ladder match. Pfft, you don't even need to say "HBK in his prime." Yea, the Heart Break Kid has peaked already, but he can still put on one hell of a show.

And since this a dream match thread, a prime Foley vs a prime Ric Flair.
As long as I could watch this one with my brother. He's a huge Foley mark, while I'm a huge Ric Flair mark.

Chris Jericho vs. Alex Shelley

These two just remind me of each other. Both guys have got oodles of personality, and the wrestling skills to match. If Jericho calls Shelley "Alex Wright" I would mark out.

TLC Match: Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. John Morrison & The Miz vs. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke

Sorry, Tovo, I stole your Benjamin/Burke tag team. The first three teams are pretty self-explanatory, and Shelton Benjamin is a Ladder Match genius. You could swap Elijah Burke for Charlie Haas or even MVP (I was so close to making it a "Super Athletes" team of Benjamin & MVP), but Burke can talk up a storm, and might make some fans from this match.

Triple H vs. Ken Doane

This one would need to be properly set-up. I'd like to see Ken Doane start getting in Triple H's head. Doane talks about how Killer Kowalski said Doane was the best student he ever had, even better than Triple H. Doane maybe starts up something on-screen with Stephanie McMahon, and basically tries to knock off Triple H as the Cerebral Assassin. Doane is a talented young man, and this would be a great stage for him to show it.

Chris Jericho vs. Johnny Jeter

I am convinced that Chris Jericho is to Johnny Jeter as Shawn Michaels was to Chris Jericho. Jeter just moves in the ring and reminds me of Jericho. Jeter also used to bust out a Lionsault and was part of a team called "The Thrillseekers," both of which seem like Jericho homage to me. Jeter was winning some fans before The Spirit Squad got aborted. I'd love to see Jeter back and in the ring with Jericho at least once, just to see if it is the magic I think it could be.

Shawn Michaels vs. Brian Kendrick, Paul London, Lance Cade, Tomko, Hermandez, Matt Bentley or Bryan Danielson

At some stage, I want to see HBK wrestle each of the SMWA/TWA students that have made it to one of the bigger three (I said "bigger" not "big"). Each match would be passable at worst (I think HBK vs. Tomko would technically be the shittest match), but just the idea of Michaels getting into the ring with someone he trained, in a match built around that concept? It strikes me as awesome.

Shawn Michaels vs. Funaki

I've got Shawn Michaels on the brain now. There will be another HBK one after this. Funaki idolises HBK, apparently, and while little Shoichi has never done much of anything, I'd love to see a match on television between the two, or something, as a birthday present for Funaki. Begin with a handshake, a sincere word from HBK about Funaki being vastly underrated, and then throw out a nice solid match between the two. OK, not so much a dream as a fantasy.

Shawn Michaels vs. DH Smith or Dallas Hart

I don't think I really need to go into the story behind this one too much. The drama of Bret Hart sitting at ringside, watching a match to which the build featured Shawn Michaels mocking Hart, Jr. because he is still wrestling, and his dad can't just screams epic to me.

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho

An actual feud with both guys as established main eventers would be awesome, God.

Kurt Angle vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas

A three-way feud I would really like to see. The original "Team Angle" all stepping up and getting on equal ground with one another. The matches between the three could be a lot of fun, and really incredible.

Kurt Angle vs. Val Venis

A personal dream of mine.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Jamie Noble

This will need some explaining. Basically, I am basing this off chemistry. All four guys are already really good, but it seems whenever London & Yang work together, magic happens. See: London's series of matches with Akio in 2004/2005. Brian Kendrick and Jamie Noble have a similar thing going for them. Nobe & Yang both have cowboy gimmicks, and London & Kendrick are already teaming. This tag team match would add up to something greater than the sum of its parts, in my opinion.

I didn't so much talk as money dream matches, in case you were wondering. They are just matches that I would personally see on a DVD made of any match I could see. There are some more I could list, too.

Holy shit, Christopher Daniels vs. Kurt Angle or even more so, Christopher Daniels vs. Shawn Michaels would make me cum.

When you say "Dream matches", are you talking from the 'mark' standpoint, or 'wrestling purist' standpoint?

For example - a mark might say, "John Cena vs. The Rock."

A smark might say, "CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy vs. RVD" triple threat TLC.

(BTW - those would be *my* answers using both perspectives ;) ).

Mike Awesome vs. Cactus Jack - ECW Rules Match -

-Two of the best hardcore wrestlers of all time from two different eras of ECW. I would love to see this one because I know it would be brutal and offensively creative. RIP Mike.

Jack Evans vs. Rob Van Dam

-The fastest, most agile young guy on the indy scene against the Whole Fucking Show. If they were given enough time, this one would tear the house down.

Brock Lesnar vs. Shawn Michaels - Iron Man Match -

-The big deal against the showstopper. Because Lesnar moved to Smackdown around the time HBK returned to WWE on RAW, we never got a chance to see these two lock up. HBK has a good history of working with big men, and Lesnar is just a freak of an athlete. It would be a great match.
