View Full Version : I prefer TNA to WWE right now.

Yeah, I said it.
WWE is appalling at the moment, I can watch Raw, just, but I record Smackdown and watch about 20 minutes of the whole show, if that.
I know TNA is also pretty terrible, I'm not gonna defend it as I know a lot of it is ridiculous and realistically there's probably not a lot between them and the WWE.
It might be 'cos TNA is new to me, and I've only been watching it a few weeks. But I dunno, some of the matches are exciting, some stuff that's going on is interesting too. Granted, a lot is ridiculous and a lot of acting is terrible (I hate ODB) but at least it's something different from the recycled, bland storylines we see week in week out in WWE, and the wrestling quality is 10x better.
iMPACT! is on tonight in the UK, and I find myself looking forward to watching it, this is a lot more than I can say about WWE, with WWE programmes it's almost like a necessity to watch, like a chore even. It's just routine for me to record them then watch when I have time.
So yeah, I know TNA gets a lot of shit and most is probably deserved, but at this moment in time I'm preferring it to WWE.
Discuss.

I actually agree. I'm the same. I'm not saying TNA is amazing, just that WWE is so hard to watch right now.
I know a lot of people hate TNA's "Spot Monkeys" and cum all over WWE's "Ring Psychologists", but I find most WWE matches are so slow paced and just full of brawling etc... on average there's maybe one decent match per show.
Don't get me wrong, WWE is still way ahead of TNA, but WWE is just so riddled with rules, limits, politics, steroids, Cena etc that it's really hard to watch at the moment.

If TNA were the larger company, WWE would probably get the same crap. The two are pretty comparable. It's easier to rip into TNA because pretty much all of us were WWF/E fans at one point, and WWE's kinda like that childhood friend you grew up with. You know the one. You're not really compatible anymore, but you don't feel right telling him to piss off.
TNA's more the guy you meet at a party, who's a friend of a friend. TNA irritates you, but without the emotional attachment of a childhood friendship, you kind of feel free to rip on him.
TNA's got some great performers, and I can see why you'd enjoy it, despite the clusterfucks. IT's not a terrible product, but neither is it a great one, and that's the main reason it catches shit.
At least TNA has good wrestling most of the time. With WWE it feels like I've seen their combinations a million times, and the matches never offer anything innovative or new, with the exception occasionally from guys like Londrick, Jeff Hardy, MVP and Kennedy, and even they are having the same pair-ups that they've been doing for months.
Storylines on both shows are horrendous (although I am enjoying the AJ Styles push). There's nothing to draw me to either show right now. I DailyMotion whatever I feel I missed and want to see, but that's few and far between these days.
I dunno. Recently I've been watching WCW circa 1998 stuff and loving it.

Saying that I agree with pretty much every point that's been made by everyone.
But the childhood friend reference KK made is SO true for me, as it probably is for everyone.

Used to like TNA as you do cause it was new to me, but now i barely bother with it, only things that interest me about it are the dudleyz, angle and christian.

After that, Raw will look interesting.

Doctor Nick told me to watch old Nick Mondo matches.
It was my window to boredom!

It'll be hit or miss. You'll either be so amazed with the stuff that you haven't seen before, or you'll want to go back to your normal stuff.
