View Full Version : Current athletes you would pay to see

Simple enough topic. What athletes in their current state of athletic ability would you shell out money for just to watch him (or maybe her, but come on. Ok maybe Lorena Ochoa or that Brazilian soccer player but that's it) play?

The two obvious ones off the top of my head are Tiger Woods and Roger Federer but there's a bunch more that I'll have to think about.

I saw him when he came to Wellington, played with a broken rib, dominated, scored a penalty, amazing. Well worth seeing, and I'm not a soccer fan.

nobody to be honest. If you said teams, I would have answers, but to me, one person today doesn't excite me enough to pay all that money just to see them.

Cannon does have a point to an extent. I was going to put the New England Patriots on mine, because Tom Brady alone would be pretty sick, but they have a lot of big-name guys that would be cool to see. Same goes for the Yankees and Red Sox.

I saw Real Madrid back in 04 when they were still in full Galactos mode, Zidane and Ronaldo were absolutely stunning, Roberto Carlos, Luis Figo and Raul were incredibly disappointing, although I expected as much from the first two atleast. Also Michael Owen came off the bench and popped one in which was worth the 15 odd quid we paid for the tickets on its own, let alone the two aforementioned legends.

David Beckham
Cristiano Ronaldo
Brock Lesnar
Michael Bisping
Ricky Hatton
David Haye
Amir Khan
Oscar De La Hoya
Tito Ortiz
Georges St. Pierre
Alex Arthur

Probably more named MMA fighters that I can't be fucked to name.

Spanish league games are usually worth the cash. Well cheap considering.

We wanted to go to an Athletico game too but we were only there for a long weekend and they were away, that and we spent the rest of our time there drinking, getting into fights or recovering:$

Tons really. I love sporting events. I've seen most of the greats of the past 15 years, but I'd still always see them again.

Over the past few years I've gone to a lot of Celts games, so I've seen them and Lebron, Kobe, Dirk, Nash, Carmello, Iverson.
I saw Jordan but he was on the Wizards so that sucks

I've seen just about everyone in Baseball that's played the Red Sox, and other teams all over the country.

I saw Ovechkyn and Crosby this year

I'd like to see more NFL. It's hard to get tickets, especially up here in New England. I went to a game when I was visiting my bro in Dallas and saw them but that was nothing or nobody too special.
I've seen Brady and Moss in training camp, but never seen either of them in an actual game. I'd pay to see them, if I had the money. Preferably against the Colts so I could see that rivalry and Manning (gotta admit it)

Not big on Golf, but I'd pay to see Tiger. Not big on Soccer either, but I'd pay to see Ronahldino and Beckham
