I still say that Cena's injury was cover for a wellness violation.

And honestly I wouldn't be surprised. Seems a bit suspicious to give him the title at Mania then just have it degrade into nothing.

Makes sence to me. Cause this kind of booking is dumber than normal.

Either that or he injured himself again.

We will know if he comes back in 30 days as the UnD.A.R.E.taker, and explains that his new plan is to make all drug and alcohol users REST IN PEACE!

You think he'll add really dark sunglasses and a ragged t-shirt to his attire this time?

He is coming back as a Biker..........

Somehow it will be shown that the Deadman had to leave, but Big Evil is free to do as he pleases.

Only if it comes with the Kid Rock intro. I loved that tune.

Should be the American Bad Ass anyway. The Dead Man gimmick is fucking finished. It's nostalgia now.

Oh, good plan. Let's turn the last outstanding character into another normal guy with nothing interesting about him and no qualities to catch the casual viewer's eye. Yes, I see how that makes perfect sense.

UnD.A.R.E.taker and CM Punk will own the tag team scene.

I don't get it.

Chris Benoit is dead. And The Undertaker plays a dead character. Xero said "unfortunate," not "funny." He covered his ass well.

Also, I think The Undertaker is simply taking time off to recover from injuries and the like. The man can pretty much do what he likes. Remember when he only used to show up for work like once a month? The WWE is probably just writing him out of the WWE as a way to shock the fans, and hopefully shock them again when he returns (which could be as surprising as his return as The American Badass in 2000).

I don't know about the biker character, but I certainly don't want him back with that crappy Death March theme, and the shitty special effects, with the new hat. Either darken the character up, Ministry of Darkness style, or have him play a more human character.

Actually I read that Taker was thinking of taking some time off on the 1st of May (that is the time of when it was posted), and people complained that it was a spoiler of sorts.

Edit: whoops, Alienoid mentioned that. To make this post more interesting I must agree with Afterlife on his last two posts. I don't mind this version of the deadman. He's really no nonsense (hardly ever does a promo) and just lets his actions do the talking, although I certainly would prefer if he got a little more attitude (I've been saying that for a while).

You mean the character that doesn't draw anymore and the man playing that character works a fucking part time schedule?

Undertaker ain't never gonna be just a normal guy in this business.

As for catching the casual viewers eye, they can't even keep their own audience. Ratings are falling, number of people at shows are falling and number of PPV buys are fallings. I'd concentrate on keeping the audience you have or the audience that used to watch before trying to get new fans. Remember there were days when they did over double the ratings they do now.

I'd be fine with either. However, Taker is obsessed with MMA now and if he is gonna be incorporating so much of it into his style, he should be a more real looking person. A zombie doing triangles and gogoplatas? Come on now.

That's exactly it. I absolutely hate the way that Taker wears gloves with a brand on it, and has a red knee-pad underneath his pants (it appeared during a match with Randy Orton). You can't go from these human qualities to it raining fake lightning bolts on his satanic command.

Before he revived the zombie shit, Taker was apparently against going back to the role, anyway. He hasn't really put his heart and soul into the character (he has really developed a good ring style for himself, though), so it comes off as really awkward.

Rob
06-02-2008, 09:13 PM
Taker is also one of the few guys left who can cut a good promo and this dead man shit never allows him to talk.

By the way, you can't agree with me. I'm a real jerk or something.

I hope Taker doesn't return as American Badass/Bikertaker, but the signs seem to be pointing to that. I didnt like that incarnation of Taker at all.

How well is a part timer expected to draw? Does ruining the uniqueness of said character make up for the fact that he doesn't draw like a a full time wrestler? Or does it simply make him into a part timer that looks and acts like every other bland, non-character on the roster? And finally, how does turning a unique person into a face in the crowd help to please the fans you already have?

Answers: Not much, No, Yes, and It probably doesn't.

Depends. Have the put the belt on him as a "part timer?" Booked him in major main event feuds (Relative to the utter ass of the current WWE, at least)?

Undertaker: You called me, boss?
Vince: We've got to talk, Mark.
Undertaker: What's up?
Vince: It's your latest drug test. You tested positive.
Undertaker: For what?
Vince: Embalming fluid. I'm afraid it was banned in our third amendment.
Undertaker: You told me to do it, Vince. Live the gimmick and all.
Vince: No use in playing the blame game now, Mark. What's done is done. Look, you're a good friend of the family, and you've been with the company for a long time. But we're going to have to do right by the shareholders.
Undertaker: You can't do this! I've got tenure! I've got seniority! I've got pictures of you banging Steph when she was fifteen!
Vince:....Let's be reasonable here....Howabout a "retirement" until the heat's off?

I'm pretty sure Rob was kidding when he made this ridiculous thread buttttttttttttttttttttttt:

Source: prowrestling.net

Undertaker is taking time off to let some nagging injuries heal. He is not retiring, nor has he violated the company's Wellness Policy. "He's making huge money," said one source. "He has a long-term deal."

Xero
06-04-2008, 08:19 PM
That source was Jeff Hardy.

Rob

He is really taking off to get that Sara tattoo properly zapped off his neck. Stupid cunt. Getting a chick's name tattoo'd unless they are your daughter is stupidity at insane levels. Even more unacceptable than killing your wife and kid.

I think undertaker should come back as someone comepletely different and younger for two reasons

1. to propogate the rumor that taker was more than one person

2. the gimmick can last forever, he can NEVER lose at wrestlemania.. like wrestlemania 50 he won't lose.

You mean Kane wasn't enough?

Seriously, when he first debuted he was pretty much a more brutal version of Taker.
