Tell me everything you know about what I have to look forward to in one and where the hell the other has been. Also, feel free to talk about their rhyming names. GO!

Anywhere I can find previous work from Matt Sydal?

Honestly, as silly as it may sound, I don't think it bodes well for Kevin Thorn that they named somebody else so similar to him.

Interesting. I hope he can actually do some of that stuff in WWE. He did the SSP a couple weeks ago, but that was about it.

He used the SLice as well.

Yeah.Melina has used a lot of moves popular on the indies.

If Bourne starts doing the splits to enter the ring, I'll start to wonder.

Evan Bourne could be something fantastic in the WWE. He seems to have a lot of good will going for him, too. A lot of his moves work well with larger men, he can die putting people over, and he's just pretty damn good overall.
Kevin Thorn disappeared, had the only thing that makes him awesome taken away (his ability to play a gimmick), then got it back for a few dark matches, then had it taken away. I wish they would bring him back under his Seven character, from OVW.

Seven, Mordecai & Kevin Thorn.
I never saw the Seven character... but I never saw anything wrong with his Mordecai or Vampire character for either to be discontinued.
Wasn't Dustin Rhodes Seven in WCW?

I agree. I though Mordecai was a teence on the cliche side, but Kevin Thorn, Vampirist was fucking slick. He looked imposing, his demeanor was perfect, and his in-ring was fairly admirable. Why they ended it after his Stevie feud, I really couldn't tell ya.

The Seven character apparently represented the Seven Deadly Sins or something (I guess that much is obvious). He used to be in a satanic stable with Batista in OVW. And yes, Dustin Rhodes was a different Seven.
The Mordecai gimmick got fucked over when he was shown brawling with Hardcore Holly. It made him look like something less than a force to be reckoned with, and more like a street corner evangelist.
Kevin Thorn was the goods. When he lost Ariel, he started to go downhill a fair bit. They should have done a storyline where he was kayfabe trying to cope with her being gone, or something. Or followed up on his leaving The New Breed with him and Elijah Burke feuding.

There's a backflip counter for a clothesline Bourne does in that video that I have envisioned for a long time. Good to see it actually done. :y:

Matches between Paul London and Evan Bourne would be pretty sick stuff. You could add prestige to a Cruiserweight Title based on them alone.

His SSP is a thing of beauty.
And pretty much all his highflying moves look more painfull as offenseive tools than I have ever seen anyone make tham look.
Especialy the way he tucks his knees on the standing Moonsault, he just comes down with such force it actualy looks like there is merit too the move other than the cool factor.

How high does he get when he does the standing moonsault
thats pronanly the best SSP iv seen, and cool he can call it sooting sydal press ;)
His arial stuff looks amazing though, he flows beautifully in midflight! Cant wait to see some more of him.

He has a beautiful standing moonsault. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not amazingly impressed with his Shooting Star Press. OK, it's definitely far better than say...Billy Kidman's, but I still think that the London Calling is way prettier.
Here's hoping we get to see Kendrick vs Sydal before the Raw/ECW merger.

Those guys would be able to come up with some crazy stuff. I'd actually like to see John Morrison & The Miz vs. Bourne & Kendrick.
Mr. Nerfect

That'd be sick too.
I mean, as well as Sydal vs. Kendrick. Get the best of both worlds.
What Would Kevin Do?
06-30-2008, 03:07 AM
Sydal is one of those guys who I could actually imagine being a legit cruiser star in the WWE. I could see him at least being a mid-card champ.
One of the things about Sydal that a lot of people don't probably know yet, is that not only is he amazingly crisp, but he's damn good... I mean, unlike a lot of other cruisers who do shit like that, I've rarely seen him botch shit in matches I've watched. He's not like Jack Evans of Jeff Hardy, he's pretty much spot on most the time.

Is his job to impress you or entertain you?

I would have thought it was both to be honest.
A cruisers job is really too entertain by sheer brilliance of movement hence impressing.

I like his SSP, but am more impressived my the back mounted standing version he does.

I'd be willing to agree with you... when WWE changes to WWI (World Wrestling Impressment) however that doesn't seem to be the case, i mean sure you can be impressed by what these men do but thats not their actual job, its to entertain you.

I am often entertained and impressed by the same things. In this case, they're unified.

Come on, that's a stupid thing to say. Do you honestly think that you can't be both impressed and entertained simultaneously? I'd even go as far to say that something that is both impressive and entertaining is even more entertaining than something that is not impressive.
No i don't think its stupid, hell i know what they do is impressive its just everytime you enter the wrestling forum Niod is on about something that doesn't impress him or seem worth his attention, what these men do is often impressive but never to him, is it enough to ask them to just entertain us now and then and not always have to be impressive.
