Outwardly, everyone is behind Samoa Joe's position as TNA World Heavyweight Champion, but there is some second-guessing going on behind the scenes due to his physical appearance. Many are questioning his drawing ability due to his look, which is obviously not the traditional headlining physique. If he doesn't draw, some think that's the reason why.
It couldn't be because TNA has shitty booking, promoting, and no one cares? His physique probably has nothing to do with it, even though he is fat.
TNA's a tardy tard tard tard.

I don't think he's fat at all. He's got an odd shaped body, but it's not fat. More like a Vader type

Well, yea he is fat but it's not like he's like Black Reign where he's just fat and slow and dosent try in the ring. I think that both WWE and TNA are kinda changing what the "World Champ" looks like. You have CM Punk that's skinny and tattooed and I guess TNA went in the "average guy" look in Joe.

I think Samoa Joe doesn't draw because he is either boring or painful to watch. His promos are so forced that they could produce diamonds, and his matches aren't that amazing. If I wanted to see a fake MMA fight, I'd watch Kimbo Slice on CBS.

He doesnt Draw because nobody watches TNA anyway. How can you draw, when even Angle/Cage/Jarrett didnt?
Plus he is Samoan Chris Penn, so unless he cuts footloose, they are fucking done.

TNA's problem is their name stands for Total Nonstop Action and they have a six-sided ring. It just gets worse from there. Joe is the least of their problems.

The problem I have with Joe is TNA.
Have you ever seen a really fat gangster-looking guy walking hand in hand with a really hot, normal-looking girl in the mall? Then you say to yourself, "How did HE get her?!"
That's what I think of when it comes to TNA and all of their talent. They have everything and every one that they need, they just don't treat them right.
The biggest mistake TNA made with Joe was giving him a microphone. If Joe was a silent, aggressive character I think he would be a lot more likable. But the same can be said with most of their talent.
Take AJ Styles for example. Aside from the occasional pre-match interview, I don't think AJ should do so much talking. This Karen Angle crap is horrible.
How about LAX? Every time they do an interview I want to kill myself. Hector Guerrero and Selinas act more Mexican than any real Mexican would ever act. How many times can you say "Vato" and "Holmes" in a single interview? Then you have Selinas bobbing around and making animal faces at the camera. It's horrible. Homicide and Hernandez however, they're GREAT as a tag team.
TNA is supposed to be a WWE alternative, but in reality it's just a mini-WWE. The action is better, but there's just not enough action to care.
I'd like TNA to ditch half their storylines and stick with Wrestling. THEN, I'd have an alternative to WWE.

I just find him boring. I really don't care what a wrestler looks like.

He doesn't draw because he's boring and he talks when he shouldn't.
And because he's a fat sack of crap.
EDIT: I do agree with Kenny in that neither he nor AJ should talk much. I hate this whiny AJ character, but I love him in the ring. As for Joe, well his promos are just terrible, although his shoot at Turning Point 2007 was somewhat entertaining.

AJ is actually over the whiny character and has been for a few months. Now he's really mad, and constantly yells when people say he banged Karen Angle.

My mom saw me watching TNA Impact a while ago and the when she saw Samoa Joe, the first thing she said was that guy is a fat pig.
Samoa Joe does not have a marketable look for a face. As a silent heel, however, as long as he is allowed to dominate his matches and kick ass (like he was doing when he first came in), his body type doesn't really matter.
I mean, only a few guys have been good chubby babyface main eventers, and Samoa Joe is no Mick Foley or Dusty Rhodes.

Joe wishes he was Taz, but he sucks.

I have noticed that recently, but he still talks more than he should.
That storyline is shades of the Angle/Trips/Steph thing a few years back.

Nah I don't think's it's exactly like that. At least it hasn't gotten there yet. AJ is still playin this honorable guy that actually isn't tryna steal Karen Angle. Nothin'll ever top Kurt Angle/Booker T/Sharmell. Bestiality.

TNA has found a scapegoat for their issues, everyone relax while nothing gets fixed.
I really don't get the Joe fat insults. It's in the guy's genes. Are we going to start calling Umaga fat now? Chances are if you called either man fat to their face, you would die. That is the attraction to the Samoan bad-ass characters, and Samoa Joe's look is very marketable from the "average Joe" look he's got going on.
Personally, I think the best thing they could do for Joe right now, is to have him drop the TNA World Heavyweight Title to Booker T, or someone, and then start a Joe and young guys vs. TNA World Champion and oldies feud.

Yeah, he bought a replica from www.highspots.com (http://www.highspots.com) and has posted videos on youtube carrying it around in public.

Yeah, TNA should continue to rehash old WCW storylines.

The best thing they could do for Joe (and us) is to make him shut the hell up.
