Top 2?

Try 5, since they also loft Kofi, Burke and Shelton.

Notice Raws singles champs are both from ECW, and Kane is in a top story right now.

But yet while all 3 were on ECW it was shit.

I think that it's so he is able to appear on Raw when the merger finally goes down.

Morrison and the Miz are far superior to those 3. So top 2 :D.

Yeah, what are they going to do about that? He needs to drop the title to Shelton Benjamin or Mr. Kennedy before the merger happens.

I believe they are setting up Shelton Benjamin taking the US Title now. Benjamin just beat Matt Hardy in a non-title match. My guess is that Benjamin takes the belt very soon, and then Matt Hardy goes after Mark Henry and the ECW Championship, which I think he could take as early as Summerslam.

Big Vito 22 also hit the nail on the head. ECW lost a lot of talent, so moving in Matt Hardy is like moving him to RAW, but also using him to boost ECW by making him a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

ECW will actually end up looking really strong, I think. People will probably scoff at that, but just think about it. Soon, the brands are going to re-align, which means that this La Familia stuff with Edge and Chavo Guerrero will be over. Chavo will be standing on his own two feet, and he will likely be a part of ECW with Bam Neely as his muscle. The WWE Tag Team Championship will likely head back to SmackDown!, while John Morrison and The Miz stay on ECW, so they'll either go to singles competition, or maybe head after the World Tag Team Championship. Or they could juggle both.

You've also got Elijah Burke still with the brand, and he's one of those guys that, to me, have so much potential. At one stage, I'd have put him up there with Mr. Kennedy and MVP. He really should have turned out to be Vince McMahon's bastard son, or something. ECW won't likely have a set of Tag Titles, so Finlay will probably be working as a singles guy. You also have The Boogeyman healing from his injuries. He's improved a little since being on ECW, and he's got a character that I think is pretty fucking ridiculous, but marks love it. This gives us a final main event scene on ECW of: Matt Hardy, Finlay, John Morrison, The Miz, Chavo Guerrero, Tommy Dreamer, The Boogeyman, Mark Henry and Elijah Burke. They've lost Kofi Kingston, but they've gained Evan Bourne, Ricky Ortiz and Braden Walker, or whatever the fuck they are calling Chris Harris.
