View Full Version : Are the brands as they should be?

The draft has come and gone, and while there may have been some initial questions, it is becoming pretty obvious where the WWE is heading with some things now. We are still yet to see the brand debuts of some draftees, but I thought I would ask anyway:

The rosters may be perfect, but are there some stand-out moves that you feel should have been made to the WWE rosters that wasn't? Or a move that you feel is questionable/misplaced?

There's one question that has yet to be answered which will make a world of difference to the 2008 Draft, and that is: where is Undertaker going to show up? I think that either way it will be good for business and good for TV.

If he reappears on SD, we could see the Triple H vs. Undertaker main event WWE Title feud that has never happened, as well as the possibilities of Undertaker vs. Jeff and Undertaker vs. Kennedy.

Still, a move to RAW seems like the better option. You have totally fresh feuds in Undertaker vs. HBK, JBL, Jericho, Cena, CM Punk and maybe even his brother or Orton, although those would not be quite as fresh.

Other than Undertaker, the draft has made a good shake up of things, and the new faces are nice, but the overall "feel" of the WWE remains unchanged.

Everymatch but 2 that you posted would be a face vs face match. Plus it has been said Kennedy will not be getting a huge push, not yet at least.

I think Undertaker will show up on Smackdown. He's got unfinished business with Edge and La Famalia and Raw's main event scene is way too stacked right now now.

The brands are pretty good, with the exception of ECW which shouldn't exist but whatever.

a) Undertaker could always have a heel run

b_ Orton may not stay on Raw ...

Paul London should be on ECW, I feel. He could do some great work with or against Evan Bourne. Chavo Guerrero going to SmackDown! to keep La Familia together would be ideal. I mean, if there are long time plans for the stable to stick together.

Big Show should be on RAW now, I think. I was all for him being on SmackDown! when he showed up, but that was because the World Heavyweight Championship was there. Big Show should have his eyes set on the belt, so he can claim to be the first and only WWE, WCW, ECW and World Heavyweight Champion.

The Undertaker returning to RAW to feud with William Regal and Shane McMahon, with Vince McMahon reinstating Taker, is still my favourite way to take the stage collapse angle.

So? WWE does do face vs. face matches you know. And there is such a thing as a heel turn.

I personally can't wait for Eddie Colon to get called up to SmackDown! to either feud or team with Carlito. I'm just imagining The Hardy Boyz vs. John Morrison & The Miz vs. The Colon Brothers vs. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore in a TLC Match at Summerslam for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Randy Orton should probably stay on RAW and start up a new Evolution stable with Batista. There is a lot of reason for Orton to go to SmackDown!, though.

I think they did a decent job mixing things up.

All the middle to low end guys are just filler for house shows really, so who cares what brand they are on. The top 6-8 guys on each brand (well RAW and SD) are the guys who take up most of the PPV spots, they draw the money, so they needed to be mixed up. They did that, so its all good.

Couple of guys could have done with a change of scenary.

For example, a straight swap of MVP and Jericho could have worked.

Anyway, Kelly Kelly just laughed in the face of the draft a week later anyway, and has Matt Hardy even found time to show up on his "home turf" in between SmackDown appearances yet? So I guess it's all a moot point.
