View Full Version : I quite like Domino

I don't think he's the best wrestler ever, or that he should necessarily get a push, I just feel the guy is slightly underrated by people. I've never been offended watching him in the ring, and he seems like an agile guy for his size. According to some, the man can work a mic, too.

The greaser gimmick might have hurt Domino a little, and he's struggling to find some credibility and a crutch for his personality. I don't think it is his fault that he seems to be going nowhere. I would love to see the WWE stick him back with Cherry as the caring brother, or something.

I just heard that many expect Domino to be released (shocker), which certainly wouldn't cripple the WWE or anything, but can you see Domino being a constructive contributor to the WWE roster?

<font color=goldenrod>I'm the biggest DnD mark on TPWW...I dunno why, I think it might be because they debuted right at the exact time I began working on my HS production of Grease and we pretty much had to act like them, but I dunno. Domino was definitely my favorite of the two.

What I love about Domino is how he always stays in character and continues to trash talk his opponents throughout his matches. As for him working the mic, I know I've posted this before...a couple of times I think, but just wait for him to come in in this video:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/B7_TwW-tJkI&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/B7_TwW-tJkI&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

If they could just let him act like that regularly, I'm certain he could be the Santino of Smackdown: a comedy heel who can stay over despite losing all the time. In fact, I watched his match against Kennedy this week and when Domino went OHHHHHHHHH I heard several people in the crowd repeat it

But yeah, he'll probably be released shortly, and it's a shame.</font>

I remember watching that video a few months ago. Domino is ridiculously good in it. He plays the character to a freakin' T.

Come to think of it, they really should make him the mouthpiece of a greaser stable. Have him come out and badmouth Deuce and then introduce some new guys. Nunzio being an obvious choice.

Domino's alright.

The greaser gimmick was always going to be a short lived novelty act. They shouldn't give up on him now that it's inevitably come to the end of its predictably short shelf life. He should get a repackage job, and either a new name or a tweaked name.

I don't think it needed to be a short lived novelty act. As awesome as he is at playing the gimmick, if booked right, he is more than capable of just succeeding in the gimmick for years.

Domino is cool, I say make him a face and give him Cherry back as a manager. If WWE let him talk like he did in that video he'd do pretty well IMO.

That's pretty much what I'd do with him. All it would take is a backstage segment where Domino approached Cherry, apologised for being caught up in tag team success with Deuce, but now that he is gone, Domino can be the big brother he should be to Cherry.

Natalya and her cousin, DH Smith, could have a nice inter-gender feud with Domino & Cherry. You could also continue the Maryse vs. Cherry shit, with Maryse trying to seduce Cherry's brother, and turning him against Cherry again. I really think he could be an interesting character.

That's the first time I've seen the Domino video. I'll be honest, he annoyed me a bit in it, but I think that's just the production value. Some more bass, and he'd be perfect in it.

I keep getting the two confused. Was this the one that recently went heel, or was that Deuce?

Deuce is the one that re-affirmed his heel status by turning on Domino and throwing down the jacket. Domino is still technically a heel, I think (he's been playing one when even against other heels), but Deuce was the darker skinned one that got drafted to RAW.
