I feel that ROH is a lot like ECW was back in the 90s as in it offers a unique style and alternative to the main two (even though TNA is no WCW and WWE is no WWF [even though recently it's getting there]) and is in fact better than the main two just as ECW often was.

How do you feel about this?

I've provided possible reasons but make up your own.

No they don't want to and aren't trying to. They're successful now and making money, they know they don't have the recources to compete and won't try to. They understand their audiance and no it doesn't really translate to the mainstream market.

For the record also do you think ROH is better worse or equal to ECW? if they competed who would win? not wwecw but the real ecw.

If only more of their audience felt that way.

I'm happy with where RoH is, maybe a better DVD distribution but other than that I'm happy with their place in the world. And I think most RoH fans feel that way. Going to a larger scale would only change the product in all likelyhood.

Also you've 4th option is the one I would pick except RoH doesn't suck.

that's another story entirely. i'd imagine there are less people to answer to when putting up a webcast. on tv you obviously have to deal with advertisers, the network, etc. as long as they don't have to compromise the product to get it over i'm okay with it.

Honestly I think ROH could be the first promotion to successfully run weekly/bi-weekly full show webcasts instead of TV shows. As long as they could afford the servers (or maybe use Ustream) it could be huge. They could even take advertising and take in all of the profits instead of splitting it with a network (which I think is how it works, not sure).

YOu have point. Plenty of people are making money on-line. No reaosn why pro-wrestling can't jump on the bandwaggon.

ROH has some of the the best pure wrestling I've ever seen. However, we don't have room pure wrestling in an area that is controled by sports entertainment. It's a damn shame because it all started out as wrestling.
You know what ECW should do? Fold. Rename the ECW title to the Euro title or the Big Black Mean Mother Fucker Title or something else. Split up the roster, fire a few people, and turn that hour into an hour of WRESTLING. Just wrestling. Two 10 min matches and one 15 min match. The rest of time time is for sponers and intros.

Ya know, I'd cream my pants if ROH got 90 mins a week. Network, cable, The Ohco, whatever. Let these wrestlers do what they do.

I vote #3. Though I feel Loose Cannon should have representation in this poll.

Why the fuck would they remove the entertainment part from the ECW slot? What reason do they really have? Even when Heat and their other programming--WWF/E programming in an era where the brand meant something, it didn't draw. Why would they do it now, when they know it's failed in the past?

Now, RoH on the Ocho would probably work, but only because their biggest competition would be the dodgeball semi finals.
