Just came back home from watching the new batman movie. I loved it and especially the Two-Face character played by Aaron Eckhart. He did an awesome job and hence I would like to dedicate this thread to him. <strike>Rest in Peace and thank you.</strike>

Seriously though it sucks this guy is getting over shadowd. He was SO good in this movie and no one is talking about him, I understand why mind you, but I honestly thik he stole that movie and if the circumstances were different I thik more poeple would be saying this. Devote this thread to his awesome performance. :y:

Like I could really care less about Heath Ledger being dead, so I would say that had no opinion or effect on me (although it still is possible). But Joker really did steal the movie. But Harvey Dent was also badass in the movie and doesn't get the credit deserved. These two really were the main part of the movie. Like Batman is one nobody really talking bout that much. All about those two and rightfully so.
That's how it should be though. After the origin story, Batman is simply the catharsis for what goes on around him. His creation leads to villainous escalation in Gotham city, so after Batman Begins, every movie should be more about the villains than the hero. I mean, Batman has the greatest Rogues Gallery in the comics universe, so it only makes sense to highlight them in the films.
Also, Eckhart was simply amazing. The only part of the movie where I jumped or was acutally physically shocked was
When Gordon and Dent are in the hospital room after Dent has been scarred, and he's talking in that very calm, low, almost passive voice, and he asks Gordon what they used to call him down at MCU, and then he screams
"SAY IT!!!"
Absolutely gave me chills.

Completely agree. Heath Ledger is (justifiably) garnering all the praise for his performance. But I feel like Aaron Eckhart was on par with him. As great as the Joker is, it's a performance of a fairly singular minded entity. Joker is all about chaos. And there's nothing wrong with that. But Eckhart has to portray Dent's descent from the White Knight of Gotham, the pinnacle of honour and justice, to Two Face. And he does so realistically, and sympathetically. He doesn't even feel like a comic book villain. He feels so damn.....sad.
Brilliance. And yeah Fox's spoiler was probably my favourite moment of Dent's as well.

I agree -- that scene was just chilling. I love The Joker just as much as the next guy, but to me, Aaron Eckhart had the best performance and most interesting character in the movie. Joker was fantastically entertaining, but I felt that is where the line was drawn. Aaron Eckhart was charming, sympathetic, heroic, pitiful, anguished, exacting, in control, loosing control, fearful, fuck he was fucking everything, and he had the tone right every time.
The whole cast was fucking excellent in that movie. If there was an Oscar for Awesomeness, it would collectively be awarded to everyone.

Spider-Man has the greatest Rogues Gallery in the comics universe.
