Some phones let you record stuff and set it as a ringtone. Have you tried that?

Yeah, I guess that was a better option before the polyphonic ringtone existed.

If your phone has bluetooth you can by a bluetooth thing for your computer. Edit any beatles song how you wish to ringtone length. Then send it to your phone via bluetooth and make it a ringtone.

That is how I did it with all my shit so I can get awesome shit that nobody else would have. Like the theme to Johnny Carson's Tonight Show.

i can edit songs on my computer then upload them to www.ventones.com and then it creates it into a ringtone format and then it sends it to my phone with a url for me to download. very easy.

I used the site, then downloaded the tone to my pc, then was able to transfer it to my phone under "downloaded ringtones" but when I try to set it my phone says "non-drm file cannot be set as ringtone!" Frak, what can I do here?

mceasy, what phone do you have? every mp3 i have tried thru ventones.com has converted it to the proper ringer format and never had a problem. after ventones texts you with a url for the ringtone i download it and it automatically goes into my ringer folder and works fine. i would say keep trying or maybe see if your phone has a forum associated with it?

I wonder if I could send you the ringtone.

I can make ringtones on my new phone, and send them, perhaps if I had your number, or the address I would get if you messaged my email from your cell, I could try sending it and see what happens.

Its not letting me send it to your cell number, try texting my email so I can get the contact info for your cell from that

it will show up for me as

Your Number@Rogers.txt.com or some shit like that.

I use a site called myxertones.com

You upload any song from your computer, edit it on the site.. IE - what part you want, length, fade-in/out, etc.. then they send a text to your phone and you download it from the link. You need a web/data plan obviously, but it is pretty amazing and free.

Yeah i've tried this route but my stupid phone wont let me put in specific URL's :(

Um...maybe because they're the fucking beatles.

So? I've found led zeppelin, pink floyd, michael jackson and elvis ringtones and their also insanely popular.

I tried it, too, and it keeps telling me the content is unassociated or something to that extent.

Sanyo Katana, though.

$3.50 for a ring tone?! i bet they put an expiration date on it too so you have to pay again. im going to try ventones again and see if i can get the same problem as you guys.

ive got the samsung instinct and just tried creating a ring tone for 'dont you forget about me' by simple minds and it sent it to my phone and the phone recognized it as a ring tone immediately and it works. not sure why this isnt working for other phones.
