“Anchorman” writer-director Adam McKay tells Entertainment Weekly that he and Will Ferrell “have begun work” on a sequel that will bring ‘70s broadcaster Ron Burgundy into the 1980s.

My prayers for another Will Ferrell plays Will Ferrell movie have been answered. Nice to see they're not even going to try and pretend they've come up with a new character. Wonder what strange and silly predicaments ol' Ron Burgundy will find himself in this time...

I am afraid that if Carrell returns, they will shoehorn Brick into a bigger role when he really only works as a minor character.

Because Ferrell has been tanking it ever since the first one, obviously

Bad idea. I am so skeptical about this. Anchorman was fantastic. It was a rare, surprisingly funny movie that worked for the sheer unique inanity of it all. Rehashing it is not good news.

On the other hand, it might be hilarious. I will see it regardless, because I enjoyed the first.

Ron Burgundy in the 80's could make for some funny situations. I'm down

Anchorman is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. Hopefully they don't fuck it up.......they probably will.

Ditto what Mitch said.

Also they'll never top "bark twice if you're in Milwaukee" even if they try forever

I loved that movie. Sex Panther

Also San Diego = a Wales Vagina, and their rendition of Afternoon Delight was fucking hilarious. Defiently looking forward to it.
