And it detracts from the match. It looks to obiviously cherographed.
Discuss. Or just get mad at me. But that is how i feel.

I kinda get what you mean. I think they're spots work well together, but they should at the VERY least signal each other if not talk for a second before some of the more intricate stuff instead of just KNOWING what they're wanting to do.

It works for me. I mean, yeah it is obviously choreographed, but it just makes it look to me that they are such a dynamic duo who rigorously practice these maneuvers and can do them without overtly signaling for them. Like Batman and Robin.

Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. You can clearly tell it's choreographed. They're a great team. Probably the best tag team in WWE or TNA currently.

See I understand BDC's issue. With Londrick it doesn't bother me so much because they're team moves are like just regular (innovative mind you) tag moves. They never had a strap match where they were coming up with all these sick moves involving the strap, ON THE FLY, and both of them had the idea at the EXACT same time.
Plus Londrick signaled their moves which makes a huge difference to me.
Took me a while to figure it out but now I realise that you're talking TNA.
I know, I know, I've been severely critical of TNA in the past and my outspoken refusal to watch or discuss TNA, but I must 'fess up that I have actually watched a few recent episodes - not ENTIRE episodes, but bits and pieces.
And I must say that the same thoughts crossed my mind when I saw MCMG - entertaining, obviously choreographed and at times it did distract me to the detriment of the match as a whole although I was impressed with Divari in that match.

The MCMG should merge into one giant being ala the Stations in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

I sorta agree and sorta disagree at the same time. They are almost too fluid together. But that being said I honestly think they are the best tag team in pro wrestling at the moment and I'm a huge Alex Shelley fan. So I'm okay with some of their over-the-top work.

Neither one of them have phycology as singles wrestlers...why would you expect them to have it as a tag team?

I love you BDC. You make so much sense.

God, I'm glad you all see where I'm coming from. In a tag match that is a straight normal tag match, I would have no problems with them knowing where the other one was, good teams should work that way. But in a strap match, doing dual moves while not paying attention to your partner is a little ridiculous.

Also, that promo about Detriot being a crime city was retarded.

I like teams doing moves together, but some of them are just too much, and how do you plan to be in some of those random situations.
PLUS, when they start doing tandem things, they are in the ring together for upwards of 20 seconds...The ref is suppose to get the odd man out after 5.
They will do a 5 part combo, then pose, then another combo, then if we are lucky one will leave the ring.
That's a big problem with a lot of the indy high-flying/high-action stuff. Sure, it's impressive, but when it comes down to it, it's hard (at least for me) to suspend belief.

I LOVE MCMG. Having said that, it is 100% obvious it's pre-planned. But for the love of Christ, this is Professional Wrestling we're talking about. They're exciting, and when they do their runs for like a minute or two straight, it's just plain amazing to see them hit spot after spot with no stops. And while I'm not a big meaningless spot fan, it works for them.
Shelley and to a lesser extent Sabin are some of the only things worth watching in this industry anymore.

Shut up. Seriously though, I like them. I was just saying that the last match I saw them in was too rehearsed which destroy the allusion of belief.

Just be glad that they work well together and they are in TNA. If they worked this well together in WWE they would have been split up and one of them fired four months ago.

I know its fake...we all do. But if they arent even going to TRY top pretend it is real, why fucking bother.
When you plan your whole match, they have bad botches, like a guy just standing there for a 2nd for no reason waiting on someone...that shit is crap. Be fluid and professional.
If they would at least like signal each other, they could do 2 hours of straight combo and I wouldnt say shit.
Every move they do is amazing, but they do too many of them. If they would just slow their pace down a little bit it would be so much better.
That being said, they're still the best tag team in the United States wrestling today.

Nope, that goes to Morrison and Miz, who use some semblance of logic in their matches.

This is the argument to end all arguements. Why does the ref count if u are holding / hitting someone in the corner (and forcefully move you out) yet leave 2 people in the ring alone when they're owning someone.
Also, this works when baddies intimidate the good guys and as the good guy tries to come in, the baddies double team someone in the corner and yet the ref is desperate almost, obsessed with getting the one guy back out.
Yet another point in the match, exactly what u said can happy and fuck all is done.

For that matter, I have always wondered what the kayfabe reason would be for not having two refs during a tag match is? I mean you have twice as many guys, so why not twice as many refs? I guess so you don't have to pay the extra ref?
Destor
07-26-2008, 12:44 AM
Kayfabe?
Only two men is supposed to be in the ring at one time thus there is no extra work load on the referee via the strucherd (man I'm a bad speller) rules of the match.

That's a plausible enough reason, although the other guys are constantly on the apron and are actual wrestlers, so they would have a step up on like a manager, who may distract the ref but is less likely to inflict damage to another wrestler. If that makes sense.

It's a work.
A non-consistant work.
