This problem just started an hour and is bugging the crap outta me. Basically my screen keeps changing to a yellow tinge every few seconds, it'll sometimes be normal for a few minutes if i'm watching something or on a single web page, but when I open windows or go to different sites it keeps flickering back and forth from normal to yellow.
I've updated drivers, checked to make sure the monitor cables are secure and fiddled with the monitor settings but this keeps happening, anyone know why this is happening and a possible solution?

Sounds like it is slowly going out, tbh.

ah crap :(, well at least my friend i'm moving in with next saturday has a spare.
I still think it's your cable. Make sure that your monitor cable is securely connected to the back of your computer. Whenever it is connected but slightly falls out, often the screen will have a yellow hue until the cable is shaken back into place.
Does this happen when you are going to porn sites? Because my guess would be that when you're jerking it you are causing the computer to shake and shaking the cord enough to cause it to fall out a little and then go back in. Just make sure it's screwed in all the way in the back and you should be good to go.
Or if you feel up to and have a graphics card, reseat it and make sure everything is secure.

I had a similar problem before which I think was the cable. Basically if I like twisted the cable weird it would be fine. But sometimes it was soo sensitive. I eventually got fed up and bought a new giant monitor. The cable was expensive to get, so fuck that treat yourself to an awesome new monitor. That is my solution.

I don't think its an issue of a loose cord, i've tried jiggling it around and such but it doesn't change it when its yellow. It's seems to be a more random occurence, as i'm typing this it's switching back and forth every 10 -15 seconds.

, i don't do it that rough lol.

How would I go about doing this?

Might be best to get a pimpass flat screen 22-24 inch monitor :D
If you have a graphics card just open your case, take the card out of the slot it's on (most have a lever which locks it in so be careful of that), and then put it back in and make sure it's in there nicely. Also, make sure the cable is actually screwed into the computer rather than just stuck on there. Because when you just stick it in there it will feel secure sometimes but might get loose.
Or it could just be the cable itself like PapaGeorgio suggested. They are pretty cheap.
Or if you want to get a new monitor, this is a cheap (but very good) one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094
