From the front page:

ECW star Elijah Burke is currently in the hospital after being struck by a car that was apparently going 80 mph in a 40 mph zone. Elijah went out for a run late at night and tripped on an unleveled sidewalk landing in the street. He was then sideswiped by a speeding car.

TheElijahExpress.com first posted the news. The site is currently down.

Elijah claimed he could only use his left hand at the time, he did manage to post a blog about the accident via his cell phone.


Sucks for Elijah. And before the jokes start, NO it wasn't Rikishi, and NO he didn't do it for the people....

I really like Burke too, I hope this isnt a major set back or career ending, it sounds very serious.

That sounds pretty bad. Hopefully Burke makes a full recovery in time. At least the WWE probably won't release him, which means money to get him through it.

I hope he was wearing reflective clothing or starts to if he plans on continuing to run after dark. I mean all black jokes aside, the guy is dark and it make it that much harder to see him in the dark. Especially if he is going to be laying in the middle of the street.

Someone picked Elijah Burke of all people to hack? They should pick someone who at least is on tv more often. That would have really sucked if it was true, but thankfully it isn't.
