With the Beijing Olympics mere days away, I felt rather nostalgic and broke out my season 1 DVD of The Games, a brilliant Australian mockumentary about a logistics and PR team working for the organising body of the Sydney Olympics that ran for two seasons in 1998 and 2000.

Had some amazing scenes, too. Stole the summary from Wikipedia 'coz I didn't feel like explaining this:

In one moment, the actor John Howard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Howard_%28Australian_actor%29) appeared on a video message intended for overseas release and read an apology to Aboriginal people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Aborigines) for crimes committed against them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stolen_Generations) by the Australian government. In the episode, a group of overseas countries threatened to boycott the Games unless the Prime Minister (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Minister_of_Australia), also named John Howard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Howard), gave a public apology to Aboriginal people. The message was accompanied by John Clarke's saying "that's not the Prime Minister," to which Gina Riley replied, "He never said he was. He said he was John Howard."

Hahaha. Yes.
