Well, considering I don't watch TNA the Abyss angle is more alien to me than 911.

He got locked up in the luney bin and since escaping/getting released (haven't payed much attention to which one took place) he's been a crusader of good stopping the hard core beat downs with Black hole slams despite the fact he has nothing to do with the angle. (Though they are building toward a Kong/Abyss match.)

For those who don't know, one of Paul Heyman's gimmicks in ECW was that he had a cell phone and he used to crack people with it...when he got in trouble, he'd call '911' which wasn't the emergency phone number we've all come to know and love, but a huge Jake Roberts looking guy who you would not want pissed off at you. He then proceeded to chokeslam everyone.

He was mega over at the time. :y:
