Shannon Moore was released by WWE earlier today. WWE.com has not posted a statement yet, but Moore confirmed his release to 1Wrestling.com and says he "wishes WWE well in their future endeavors".

Pwinsider says that there are expected to be several releases this afternoon.

So who wants to predict who will be next?

PWInsider.com can confirm World Wrestling Entertainment has released the following talents today:

James Curtis, who was seen most recently on this past Tuesday's episode of ECW on Sci Fi against Braden Walker (who was also dropped yesterday), has also wrestled under the name KC James. His release would free him to revive his memorable Ohio Valley Wrestling tag team with "brother" Cassidy James/Riley on the independent circuit.

Domino, of the Deuce and Domino tag team, had not been utilized on the Smackdown brand since the team had split and Deuce was drafted to the Raw side for a planned makeover. He had been with the company since January 2006 when the team was put together with Cherry in Ohio Valley Wrestling and brought up to the main roster in January 2007 before having a WWE Tag Team title run.

Shannon Moore, who had most recently worked the ECW and Smackdown brands as part of a tag team with Jimmy Wang Yang, has been released by WWE. Moore returned to the company in 2006 following a brief run with TNA Wrestling.

Nunzio (aka Little Guido) was on the ECW roster, but rarely used outside of enhancement roles in recent months. He had been with WWE since 2002 as a member of different version of the Full-Blooded Italians tag team. Most recently, he had popped up during holiday-themed episodes in various costumes.

Referee Nick Patrick, on the Smackdown side, had not been used in months after undergoing back surgery.

There may be additional names as well.

<font color=goldenrod>Wow, gotta give credit to V. He first got brought back in like 2004 along with Gangrel for an angle against Undertaker. Thought it would be temporary yet he's managed to stay employed for 3 1/2 years.</font>

Does this mean BDV and Awesome Kong can now make that sex tape internet smarks have been waiting for?

Well, there's no impact at all on TV. I mean, all are just jobbers.

Fuck, when's Snitsky or Khali gonna get fucked off? - You can't keep Khali just get a foothold in India. Most people ain't gonna buy merchandise when they can nick it from the factory they just made it in for 3p / a nickel an hour.

Domino sounds like he fell through the cracks somewhere.

Could care less about the rest. Here comes the fall clean-up I presume.

The reasoning behind keeping Khali is sound. You give the largest country in the world a spectacle to watch at like Yao does for China. But look at what Regal and Bulldog do when they are/were in England. They aren't giants, yet when they wrestle they get louder pops than whatever guy is in the main event. So if you want to give Indians a "spectacle" why not have it be a spectacular wrestler?

Are they still looking for that Brazilian giant? Or was it Chinese?

The slight difference is that Khali brings absolutely nothing else where Yao Ming is an all-star.

Thing i hate about Khali is he has no talent whatsoever, i keep saying it but he just can't wrestle, he hasn't got 'it' as they say. I hope HHH destroys him with the sledgehammer and that's the end of his career.

Khali is a huge star in India, one of the biggest markets in the world.

He may suck, be he brings in some extra revenue. As a fan, I hate him. But it is good business. Just like signing luchadors.

Juan
08-08-2008, 09:24 PM
They should actually hire some luchadors. Rey Mastrio just isn't cutting it anymore.

I was using that example because I am fairly sure that is an example that someone at the WWE has used before. You are correct though.

<font color=goldenrod>If I were Domino I would boast to future employers that I got to main event my final show in WWE.

I would, however, conveniently leave out the fact that it was a 2 minute squash to Big Show</font> :shifty:

Watching Smackdown right now and Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore are facing Hawkins and Ryder.

It's so weird watching someone wrestle on SD after they have been released. Especially with Moore coming out with a cowboy hat on looking like he and Wang are about to form an actual tag team or something and JR talking about how "winning this match could put Wang and Moore right in that title hunt."

If Vis weren't "too fat" and "too untalented," he might still have a job.

There are some talented guys in that batch. Nick Patrick, assuming he can referee, and that he doesn't want to step out of the business, would make another great referee signing for TNA. Having Earl Hebner and Nick Patrick on your payroll looks pretty good.

Shannon Moore and Nunzio are two cruiserweights that I think are both very talented. James Maritato would make a great agent for TNA, and someone in the X-Division that could teach the youngsters the ropes. A return to ROH would also be very cool, considering how talented the man is. Shannon Moore is an instant signing for TNA, I think. He fucked them over a bit last time, but they desperately need X-Division wrestlers.

Domino had charisma, and was not a bad worker. There was so much more they could have done with him. TNA hiring him would not be bad, but people would complain about them picking up a WWEject. Japan would actually be a good place for Domino. He's got the grounding for a good career. He's big, athletic, can cut a promo, etc. Some time in Japan would do him some fantastic good.

Big Daddy V should have saved up a lot of cash from his career, and should probably step out of the business, and look after his health. If he ever gets himself into shape, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a one-off comeback for the guy, or even a WWE Legends deal, of some sort.

Val Venis, Funaki and Charlie Haas survive. That makes me a happy man. My guess is that The Highlanders are next.

Moore as a good talent to have as a singles guy, or a jobber. BDV was a great jobber to the stars. Domino could have gone places if WWE would have let him, and now they're out of a job.

.................ARE WE ABOUT TO HAVE ANOTHER GODDAMN DIVA SEARCH!?!?!?!?!?

With a chest like that, he has problems keeping colds from getting serious.

Yeah, because those are the usual criteria for working in WWE.

I can imagine! If I was him, I'd get nervous over a sore throat. I'd be glad to survive pneumonia.
