Not sure if some of the newer additions to this are confirmed yet, but apparently the up to date Download lineup is as follows. Although until they're made official I suppose it's all rumour...

June 5 (Donington):

Main Stage:

LINKIN PARK
SUM 41
IGGY & THE STOOGES
THE HIVES
THE DISTILLERS
CRADLE OF FILTH
MONSTER MAGNET

Game On Stage:

ELECTRIC SIX
SOIL
AKERCOCKE
DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
MILLION DEAD

June 6 (Donington):

Main Stage:

METALLICA
KORN
SLIPKNOT
SLAYER
MACHINE HEAD
ILL NINO
GODSMACK

Game On Stage:

H.I.M.
BOWLING FOR SOUP
TAKING BACK SUNDAY
DAMAGEPLAN
BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION
LIFE OF AGONY
HATEBREED

----
:wtf: @ Akercocke and DEP playing. At least gives confirmation to the rumour Dillinger will be touring here come June.

Suppose the bill could be worse, although the Main Stage on the Saturday looks absolutely horrible, Monster Magnet and Iggy aside. Oh well... thoughts?

To be honest im not really impressed at the moment. It would be great fun to see Bowling For Soup play on the Game On stage though. They seem completly out of place at the moment :D

Why is this called the download festival?

I have no idea.

Clear Channel must think Download is "hip" and "with it" term.

I just find it hilarious that Metallica is on the Donlad Festival.

They were last year too. They were surprise guests.

I'm sure there's a joke to be made about Lars hoping to catch thousands of people using Kazaa but never mind.

Only thing I would touch on that bill at the moment is the Sunday main stage, and even that is a bit much to pay to see 3 bands.

The Main Stage on the first day is shit. The only band on the 5th I would even see is Dillinger.

The 2nd day is a little better, I would watch everything on the Main Stage. No desire to see anyone on the 2nd stage.
