I'm all for it if he replaces Don West as commentator.

What's his issue with WWE at the moment?

It's in the Sun.

It must be a lie.

It could be true for Miss Foley's baby boy. We'll just wait and pretend to be suprised if it happens.

Hey, we're talking about Foley not Joe :shifty:

Mike Tenay and Mick Foley would be a fucking hot commentary team, and you know it. Foley in general makes for good TV. One of the best talkers around today.

Foley is great, I do like him. But he is not going to make a fucking difference for TNA, and will just help them look like WWE 2003 Lite.

That will be making a difference, because they normally look like WCW Lite.

No, but seriously, take anything you read in the Sun with a grain of salt.

Well, to be fair, it isn't an illogical conclusion to draw. I'm sure the deal is far from done, but Mick Foley himself has said he was literally about to sign with TNA before Vince McMahon offered him more money out of nowhere, and if he's apparently upset with the WWE (something of which Jim Ross seems to confirm by attempting to avoid in one of his latest blogs), then it does seem like something that could go down.

I don't think it will be a wrestling role, though. Foley is too beaten down and out of shape to really want to get back in the ring, I think. He seemed to be fine with his commentary role, although the occasional match (which I guess they seem to be referencing) is not out of the question. Mick Foley vs. Abyss, for example, would be really cool. And then there's the potential star-making thing he could do with James Storm.

Which brings up the best thing about TNA possibly signing Foley: He has never been afraid to put people over. Sure, he's sort of whored himself out to putting over guys in the WWE (except Carlito, that bastard), but the shit he did with Randy Orton in 2004, pretty much made Orton a World Champion sooner than expected (he like lost the IC Title to become World Champion). Foley in TNA would be something refreshing, though, and could rejuvenate his character somewhat, letting a guy he decides to put over get a substantial rub from it.

Also, as a side note, there is no reason that Don West should still be doing color commentary in TNA. They might have needed him back when they were an upstart promotion in 2002, but now they are turning a profit, with a national TV deal, international audience and monthly PPV schedule. Don West is not at that level, and should be replaced with one of the many other options TNA has had available for the longest time. Mick Foley, right now, would seem like the best and most accessible choice.

Mick Foley working with ROH would be great, too. If he signs with TNA, then that would pretty much rule out big time appearances with ROH, though. Maybe Foley could sort of use the leverage of him being pure awesome to work out something where he can do work with both companies?

You have no idea how true that statement is.

The Sun = complete and utter pile of bollocks. Same as the Daily Mirror.

JOHN CENA IS COMING TO TNA!

Reports(1) are flooding in with news that the WWE's own John Cena is about to make the jump to TNA wrestling!

A friend of John Cena's dog's friend's (a cat) owner is the source and says that Cena is fed up with the heavy road schedule and constant blowjobs from WWE Divas. We will have more on this shocking news as it develops.

I hate the Sun. I will never forgive it for it's coverage of the 2005 General Election.

Couldn't talk about policies, just had to try and be funny. Utter bastards who should be shot at dawn.

Fucking good match to be honest. Until the end, still don't quite get what happened there. But maybe I'm just too high.

Yean not a big fan of The Sun or the Mirror...or The Mail...

Could you imagine The Mail running a wrestling section?

'Rumour has it that the gimmick behind WWE's Cryme Tyme is based on their real life antics. The Mail can reveal that while the two currently have clean criminal records, there are also many crimes where they have barely escaped prosecution. The most serious of these include an incident where they attempted to steal the lamp of a nice middle class family.

On the WWE's most recent tour of Britain there was also an incident covered up by the Home Office where Somoan WWE Superstar Umaga was revealed to not only be claiming benefits, including a free house and his own personal hooker, but also be secretly working as a builder.

When will the WWE do something to stop this country being over run by immigrants on benefits and illegal crime?"

However the Express's WWE section would be the best:

"Did Orton kill Diana? New evidence inside!"
