From f4w-
1. NOAH Heavyweight Champion Takeshi Morishima defeats Charlie Haas in 3 minutes with a missile dropkick.
Yes, they used a gong and some generic Kaientai-type music. Met mostly with “USA” chants, and also some apathy as no one knew who he was, Morishima looked good dominating the match. Hitting a lariat-o and a side slam, before putting Haas away with a missile dropkick.

Morishima was in Big Japan Pro-Wrestling?

No, he means he's a big star in japan. Not the promotion.

If they let Morishima be the monster he is he could make a Yokozuna level impact imo.

This is pretty cool. Takeshi Morishima in the WWE would be interesting. Of course, he'd get a new name like "Greato Morris San," but ah well. I'd actually like to see a Funaki/Morishima team. I just want Funaki to win gold, dammit.

I bet we never hear anything further on this, at all.
WWE just don't know how to treat Japs
I have a feeling that, if he did come in, he'd get something along the lines of Umaga's gimmick.

I found that pic on Becky Bayless' myspace page. He can bring her and Lacey along with him. Allison Danger is ok, but she can stay.

He will be a samurai. Kind of a Chink Farooq circa 96.
They'll probably make him Chinese and make all kinds of Tibet jokes.

*MISSLE drop kick

Missle dropkick. That means from the top rope. Normally I'd say thats kinda gay, but from a guy his size, it's pretty impressive. And probably launches his opponent all the way across the ring, if he gets even a little bit stiff with it.

Evidently Morishima defeated Jamie Noble in a dark match prior to the ECW/Smackdown tapings tonight.

Is Harley Race still working closely with the E? I only ask because he has strong connections with NOAH, so I'm guessing that's how this got set up. With that said, I doubt we'll see Mori signing with them anytime soon, since he is the GHC heavyweight champion, and under contract to NOAH.

Morishima to WWE? by Xanshin (greendestiny@hotmail.co.uk?subject=Green%20Destiny) - 19 Aug 2008

Long-standing rumours of WWE's interest in Takeshi Morishima gathered pace last night as the current GHC Heavyweight Champion flew over to Chicago to wrestle a non-televised match before WWE's flagship show, Monday Night Raw.
Morishima, who was accompanied to the arena by several Pro Wrestling NOAH staff, defeated Charlie Haas in a three minute match. He used the entrance music formerly used by the Orient Express in WWE and dominated the match, hitting a lariat before finishing Haas off with a Missile Dropkick. He did not wear the GHC Heavyweight Title to the ring.
It is believed that the match was set up by Harley Race, who is a big admirer of Morishima. Pro Wrestling NOAH gave Takeshi Morishima their blessing to work the show.
Morishima will return to Japan to work Pro Wrestling NOAH's "Shiny Navigation 2008" tour, during which he will defend his GHC Heavyweight Title against Kensuke Sasaki. But could the future hold a run in World Wrestling Entertainment for Takeshi Morishima?
Update: Takeshi Morishima has wrestled a second dark match for WWE, this time defeating Jamie Noble before the WWE Smackdown/ECW Tapings.

My dream angle for Morishima would be to come in and literally kill someone. Morishima continues putting performers in the hospital week after week, not because he's sloppy but because he's just crazy. Then it happens, he accidently kills someone, like it's a local with a mask, and it doesn't happen in the ring but in the hospital afterward, and because the doctors find other things wrong with him and through some loophole Morishima isn't liable. But he'd still look like the biggest bad ass. Everyone is saying "he is a liability." But then some Upper Mid Carder trying to make a name for himself says he wants him, they allow it at the next ppv but of couse it's unsanctioned. Morishima fights to his toughest victory yet.
The next week on whatever show he is on he says he wants a title, but instead gets into a feud with a face Main Eventer. The Face says he wants to put him out for good because he is messing up the industry or something and he wants him out of the WWE for good. They feud, Morishima still wins. This will look logical as Morishima could always wantto go back to Japan or whatever.
Still undefeated after probably about 4 or 5 months now, he challenges for the title again. But Vince or whoever the commissioner is won't allow for his champion to be put in that kind of risk. Morishima via translator (i dunno if he speaks english) says "I apologize for what I did, I just wanted to be the best. And you shouldn't have put me up against nonprepared opponents." Of course this makes the commissioner mad and he/she pits him against a giant i.e. big show/ kane/ khali/ Undertaker... whoever. If he wins he gets a title shot.
So Morishima fights to yet another hard earned victory. And is put in the main event. He suffers his first loss as a desperate double turn occurs, the face champion unable to defeat Morishima resorts to using someone from the outside (shaking hands with him afterward) in order to defeat him.
Morishima pummels that guy on the next show, just blasts through him.
This sets up for a rematch inside a cage with the champion and a Morishima victory. Morishima's title reign is ended only by injury and his eventual return to japan.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Mori in WWE.
Have someone like JBL bring him in just to wreck havoc. Let JBL be his mouthpiece, and have him destroy people... Even if he can't break out his backdrop, let him just lariat/dropkick/splash/sitdown/moonsault/powerbomb people all day. He could be what Vader should have been in the WWE. Plus, he has a baby face, so turning him eventually should be too difficult...
Seriously, fans would love him too... Let him bust out his cartwheel splash in the corner, and his little rolling steamroller butt attack of death, and people will eat him up.

i'd be surprised if they don't use him in some capacity on television. he's a big guy who can actually maneuver and wrestle very well for his size. could be used to make top guys look like fucking gold if nothing else. big or small, he can work it.

Best we'll ever get is random threads and such as WWE's completely fucked it.
Though TNA is ripe for Captioning I think. Let's see...
