What do you think is better?

GeForce Fx 5600 256MB or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB

I'm assuming the ATI but what is the main difference?

How do you tell how much better a card is?

I, personally, think the Radeon 9800 Pro is better, as that's what I'm running. The GeForce FX 5600 was a huge mistake on Nvidias part. The fan is very loud, the graphics are still nice but are better in the 5900 and Radeon beats it in the benchmarks.

There are many graphical benchmark programs that lead you through a series of tests on graphic engines and bits of games to check your framerate, stabilty, etc.
