Apparently this is a rumor. I was kinda pissed when they were released back when, but here's the question: Do the fans want them back in WWE?

Discuss.

Even though Bubba's apparently a douche, I'd like to see them in again, if only for one more TLC.

Edge could bring them in as a Henchmen-type of deal for Mania to feud with the Hardys and someone else (a main eventer).

I know I'm getting all Russo here, but TLC six man, Team Edge with the Dudleys vs. - for sake of argument and assuming Edge doesn't turn face naturally - Team MVP with the Hardys. The winning team's captain becomes the WWE/World champion.

Edit: Though that does take away from the MITB. Fuck it, put it on the Rumble.

Not a bad call. Of course, I'd put Punk or Kennedy in place of MVP.

Apparently it's a rumour? I love this.

Xero

Only real reason I used MVP was because he has history with the Hardys much the same way Edge has with the Dudleys. There would be tension within both teams.

Didn't the DudleyZ go on a mad rampage against all that is WWE after they didn't let them be the DudleyZ anymore?

I'd rather have Christian back anyday.

Xero
08-21-2008, 06:18 PM
That tune changed when TNA wouldn't give them the money they wanted for a renewal. At least I think that's what's happened.

Mercury Bullet

Honestly I couldn't care less about having them back. I liked them back in their day, but their day has long since passed. I would rather have the New Age Outlaws back and their day has long since passed too. I'd rather they just all stay in TNA, with the writers getting them involved in decent storylines, and help that company get its footing before they call it a career.

<font color=goldenrod>I think it would be cool to see the Dudleyz back initially, though I'm sure it wouldn't take long for them to wear out their welcome.

WWE really needs to add a couple of teams...I know that any teams they add will get lost in the shuffle and they really don't care about tag wrestling, but damn...it's pretty pathetic that a company with three different brands still only has enough legit tag teams to count on one hand</font>

I think if they came back as a Tag Team, theyd get a good run but then thrown back into the pile.

I think they're better off in TNA.

Actually the rumor is that they are NOT going back.

Well it's an apparent rumour.

The Dudleys have been ass in TNA. If they could actually be entertaining I wouldn't mind them back in WWE. I'd rather them stay in TNA.

08-21-2008, 07:21 PM
I've never been a big fan of The Dudleyz, and feel they are unspectacular in the ring and wear out their welcome as characters faster than Braden Walker got released, but right now the WWE desperately needs tag teams. Bubba Ray and D-Von would add a lot to whichever tag team division they're added to. You know, because they're an actual tag team.

Mr. Nerfect
08-21-2008, 07:22 PM
But can we just get Tyson Tomko back, please?

Lock Jaw

The Dudley's have been pretty great in TNA as heels, actually.

Juan

Meh. It's not like the tag division in WWE is booming, so it doesn't really matter to me.

I could go either way. I think they'd be refreshing, as most returns are, but who's to say how long they'd last?

I hate the dudley's. They have done nothing but coast since going to TNA.

best thing about the Dudleys are as follow, all happening in Columbia, SC:

1. Wrestling my best friend and an acquaintance in the main event of the CWA's first COLA show.
2. Brother Ray swiping a bottle of Jagermeister and turning it up into his mouth while singing "Take Me Home Tonight" by Eddie Money in the Pour House.
3. Brother Ray reading this other wrestler the riot act outside of the Pour House. Why? This guy, Brandon Paradise, jokingly said "The Dudleys Suck" in the bar. He then took some shots of Jager and left. Brother Ray is an Asshole. You should know better than to joke around with an asshole. Ray took it the wrong way and he, DeVon, and their two buddies went out to confront Mr. Paradise. At the end of Brother Ray telling the guy off, the kid was clearly on the verge of tears while apologizing. I said to my buddy, "Brother Ray was being an asshole, but Brandon fucking deserved it."

Brandon does ask fort trouble.

Where exactly is Fort Trouble located? Isn't it in Columbia SC?

TerranRich

But in the end, in all honesty, the Dudleys do Suck. At least now they do.

Afterlife
08-22-2008, 02:01 AM
Well, I find it really hard to watch TNA, so I wouldn't know much about their particular quality. And they weren't very technical when they were in WWE. That's why I'm asking the question, "do we want them if they're an option".

BigDaddyCool
08-22-2008, 09:22 AM
We have literally seen all they can do. Now they just hold down young tag teams. There is no point of bring them for any extended period of time.

Afterlife
08-22-2008, 09:37 AM
A year, maybe? Less? And who would you pit them against?

BigDaddyCool
08-22-2008, 09:49 AM
I don't know. They would only be good for helping to re-establish a tag division. But WWE needs to invest in tag teams to do that, not just through together 2 midcarders doing nothing.

Even then, 6 months max I'm thinking.

Afterlife
08-22-2008, 09:55 AM
I think the Dudleyz coulda been used to put the Highlanders over. To make them a legitimate force -- the Highlanders, I mean -- would have elevated every team Raw had, if not the WWE as a whole. I'm thinking WWE needs a stricylt tag team writer. The problem may just be that the writers, in general, forget about them.

I have one question:

What the fuck is a Tag Team?

BigDaddyCool
08-22-2008, 10:26 AM
They are 2 guys used to job to like Batista or Cena.

Sebastian

This is a good idea for the WWE and a way to fix a huge mistake the WWE did.

The WWE tag tea division hasn't been the same ever since the WWE decided to get all uppity with The Dudley Boyz and has suffered ever since their departure. Whether you like them or not, you MUST admit that these two men are a STAPLE of tag team wrestling. When the WWE removed them, their tag team division fell apart at the seams. This is why tag team in the WWE hasnt been good ever since the Dudleys left and WWE were wrong to mistreat them.

Of course, I reckon WWE got smart and decided to call them back so they can leave that dump called TNA and get back to making Tag Team division go again in the WWE. I think this is just the injection thats the WWE is looking for and is a very smart move on Vince's part.

I cant wait to see the Dudleyz put someone through a table in the WWE again! The tag division is about to be revived.

BigDaddyCool

Kinda unrelated, but has anyone noticed how fat D'Von has gotten since joining TNA?

BigDaddyCool

Yes, he has always been, heavy, but he has gotten just fat. Probably because he is lazy and doesn't have to try. WWE want their wrestlers to look good.

I think SmackDown! would be a good place for the Dudley Boyz, if they were brought back. They'd be faces, because of how over they are, and they could help get a team like Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins over.

First, I'd give Ryder and Hawkins personalities. Then wrestling moves. Then I'd give them a feud with name wrestlers.

Hay guys. This thing was going aruond 3DNation members a few months back. Mark (Yes Fat ass, the real one...) had sent word to all 3DNation members that WWE was were they would likely go next after some more time in Japan. Mark and Devon would like to do both tag and singels before a full split. Then Devon is gonna retire and kick it in his protein shop and the wrestling school. Mark plans on working in the back as a trainer and promotor, along with working the school. Anyway I know your gonna take what I say with a grain of salt, but I still rather get this info out there.

08-29-2008, 04:27 PM
Christian?

He doesnt have anything to offer the WWE that the WWE doesnt already have or need. He had dozens of shots when he was in the company.

Say all you want, but if all the time they spent on him as a singles wrestler didnt make him then, then he certainly wont be made now.

The Dudleys are needed by the WWE to revive the weakened tag team division. They touch the belts and bring INSTANT crediblity to them. Simple.

I wouldn't say Christain's "shots" he had were much. I mean right before he left they had been a bit hire, but really he wasn't being used in anyway that could've really done anything for him. Plus I think TNA has been good for his character and himself. He's grown in every way, but his mic work is a huge differance. If (more like when) he goes back to WWE wont need to be made, he'll just need a good push.

The Duds aren't super heros though. No matter if they held the gold or not it's not gonna change much. No one wants to be knw for their work as a team now a days. It's all about making on your own. If the WWE wants to save the tag division they're gonna have to look hard for people who understand the benfits to being in a tag team. Also they have to either get a ton of teams or get rid of a set of tag belts and only have tag champs on one show.

Oh well whatever. Oh I long for the old days. Axe! Smash! Mr. FUJI!
