From PWInsider:

Former World Champion Bill Goldberg looks to be following in the footsteps of the Ultimate Warrior, as he revealed on Fight Network Radio that he is in training to return to professional wrestling for a "one shot" match, but not as part of WWE or TNA. We received the following reports on his appearance.

Thanks to John Pollack for the following:

Bill Goldberg appeared on Fight Network Radio earlier today with Mauro Ranallo and stated that he had begun training for a comeback in professional wrestling.

He stated that he stopped training a few years back when his son was born and began training for a return 2-weeks ago and is looking for a one shot deal to do another match.

Goldberg hinted that it would not be a part of WWE or TNA.

Goldberg last wrestled on March 14th 2004 at "WrestleMania 20" going over Brock Lesnar and then left the company after his contract expired with that match.

Thanks to Chuck Fiello for the following:

Goldberg announced today he has been training for three weeks for a possible return to the wrestling ring sometime in the future. No deal has been finalized but if he has spent the past 3 weeks training for it, you have to think there is some deep discussions. He announced this on Fight Network Radio this afternoon during an appearance to talk about his appearance on Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling (which he said led to a heated exchange with one of the cast) and MMA.

Goldberg should return in a ridiculously hyped return match and have it end up being his usual 2 minute squash match (that were actually pretty awesome when he first started in WCW).

Goldberg was stupid for believing his own hype. He seems pretty selfish in the wrestling business, but I've heard he's a really great guy in real life.

When I was a kid and I was messing around on the computer and I opened a folder I would always murmur to myself "FOLDERS, FOLDERS, FOLDERS"

and by a kid I mean last night

Seriously. He's supposedly a really cool guy to be around, but it seems that as soon as it comes time for him to be booked, he either wants the whole show or nothing. People call WWE stupid for how he was used, but he wasn't going to accept anything less than the center stage 24/7.

Don't really care about Goldberg to be honest. After his WWE run I think everything about him has now just fizzed out.

Strange, not long ago he was saying he would never return to the ring again. Things change fast dont they.

He shouldnt be allowed to come back, and in fact, it is he that should never be able to come back.

Oh joy!

Seriously, this would be a horrible idea for a 1 shot match, all you are going to be doing is paying for him to go over one of the guys on your roster. Unless you bring in an opponant as well. Then it gets stupidly expensive
