Saw it tonight and it was freaking awesome. The acting and script were pretty awesome and the director did a great job with it.

I've been dying to see this movie since I saw the previews in November and it didn't disapoint one bit.

I hate living in an uncultured cesspool. Every theater in the area got "Dawn of the Dead" in multiple theaters, but NO ONE has Eternal Sunshine, which is the movie I've been looking forward to for months.

I need to make like an hour-and-a-half trip if I want to actually see it.

I would definitely have to agree with everyone who's seen the movie - it's great! :y:

Jim Carrey does a great job and I'm hugely biased when it comes to Kate Winslet so I knew she did a great job :naughty: The other actors are good and the movie moves along at a good pace.

I have never seen a Kaufman movie before so I think I'll go and rent Adaptation since I don't know if I really want to be John Malkovich :shifty:

Who would everyone recommend this movie too? I've heard it could very well be Jim Carrey's best performance. Does anyone agree with that? I'm hyped about this one.

Just saw it (instead of going to school) and yeah it was awesome.

Saw it last weekend and decided to bring this thread back up. I agree that the movie was awesome, but it seriously depressed the **** out of me. Charlie Kaufman is still the man. It's amazing how he can create such strange characters and situations, but in one way or another you can always relate to them (well I can, I'm assuming others do too).

One of the factors I usually use to judge a movie is if I would want to see it again or not. This movie is one of the best I've seen in a long time, but I'm not sure I could make it through another time, seriously.... depressed as hell.

Charlie Kaufman is tha man. I liked Adaptation slightly more...but Eternal Sunshine was still good.

I liked Eternal Sunshine more than Adaptation. I just liked the flow and style better but Adaptation was probably the better writing job.

I dunno which I liked more. I guess Adaptation. The only thing that slowed Adaptation down was the orchid storyline. The Charlie Kaufman shit was amazing though, so that alone makes the movie great for me.

It's like a better version of Vanilla Sky.

Not to discredit Eternal Sunshine at all, but I liked Adaptation way better it's my favorite movie of all time. Followed by Memento in a close second :D

I saw it today and liked it a lot. It was pretty interesting.

Also, there was a large fat man who was spazzing out in front of us. Like he would start sniffing non-stop really slow though. But then he would start having a seizure and whatnot and start sniffing really fast. It was the most annoying thing that someone could ever do while you were watching a movie.

you should have used a straw to stab him in the eye.

I'll be watching it this week sometime.

We got the screener for this in work today so I brought it home and just watched it. I thought it was great.

Charlie Kaufman rocks my brain. He has to be the best screenwriter out there.

I just saw it tonight.

It was strange, but I really really liked it.

I know some people complained elsewhere that they got confused. It wasn't confusing at all to me. Kept me captivated, and entertained.

Don't stall, it was well worth seeing.

If you're going to watch this movie and get it before the plot unfolds, you should pay attention to every detail. Kate Winslet's hair kind of hinted me as to how it was going to end half way through.
