wtf is the ladder system, and what are the pros and cons of making a ladder character?

Pros: more weapons and items and shit

Cons: your character has an expiry date, so you have to keep playing all the time.

Ladder is just like playing normally, only you have none of your items or anything. Think of it as just playing on a new realm or something. It's kinda like hardcore, in the sense that you can't play games with non-ladder characters.


As for D2 itself, it's kinda shitty since 1.10. They've made it impossibly part on NM and hell, so only the retarded hackers can actually have fun playing it now.
