i heard they were good any input would be great thanks . thinking about getting one soon.
I have no time for Dell or any of their products - I simply don't trust the quality of their hardware.
Having personally been involved with Dell (as a transport supplier) I had some exposure to some of their problems.
A lot of their hardware is assembled in Malaysia from Chinese components. If you don't mind crappy quality hard-drives that will crash on you constantly once the warranty expires then go for it.

If you're buying a desktop, do yourself a favor and build one or find a friend who knows about computers and have them build one. You will not only be able to build the same PC for cheaper, but just as good quality.
If you buy Alienware, you're buying the name. I've heard very mixed reviews about their support as well. It seems it's either great, or it sucks ass.

Requiem is right. Jot down the specs. on whatever model you're thinking about buying from Alienware and swing over to newegg.com or some other computer hardware store and get the prices there. Chances are it might be a bit cheaper.

Know Your Role talkin about Dell, dunno what that's about
Only get a Alienware if you are seriously going to be GAMING non stop. Not worth it
I agree with Requiem. If you're getting a desktop, you can get the same hardware MUCH cheaper if you build it/have someone build it for you. Alienware is not worth it, even for serious gamers.
Also, I was not aware of this, but Alienware is a subsidiary of Dell.
Stay away from Alienware. Even after Dell purchased them they never got any better.
And you're probably not going to want to build your own. Yes, it would be cheaper but if anything goes wrong you will have to fix things yourself or take it somewhere that will screw you out of money. So it's probably best for you to just stick with HP or something.
