Was it a World Heavyweight Snail Eating title shot?
Batista was in it, so it automatically becomes one.

I don't know, I didn't see it, and food network does have spoilers on their site.
I'm going to guess batista probably got screwed so he can challenge again 10 more times this week.

Snails are good, that is why.

SammyG is gross.
I imagine they would be rubbery and flavorless, like squid?

I've never seen anywhere around here that serves snails, would love to give them a shot though. I've heard they don't have a strong flavour, which is why you cook them up with some garlic butter or something.
<3 squid though

You can bet he will be taking the leftovers home in one of his lunchboxes.

From Wikipedia:
During his marriage with Angie, Bautista became an avid collector of vintage metal lunchboxes. He admits his favorite is the 1967 Green Hornet lunch box, as it has Bruce Lee on it. This collection started when he bought Angie an ET lunchbox and she did not want to break it, so he bought a second one.

There is an episode of Cribs where he shows you his wall of vintage lunchboxes and opens one up and explains that they are worthless without the thermos.

'Dave had eaten his 'human allowed' quota of snails by late 2006, but has eaten them again and again without anyone, apart from the ISC (Internet Snail Community) raising an eyebrow to the situation. He continues to eat snails, just because he is there, to this day'*
*Source pending. Maybe a nice horseradish.
Snail eating? Isn't that code like Up, Left, Down, Right, Triangle, X, Triangle?
No, that's the code to instantly win lunch box auctions.
The code for the snail eating mini game is Up, Left, Down, Right, X, Circle, Up.

Too... many... Batista/snail/lunch box jokes... must... fight...
Bats is Filipino, so I'm sure he's eaten a lot worse than snails.

New gimmick for someone, run-in with a shell on the back and give Dave the biggest slow-sliming he has ever had in his life.

I originally got that he was on it from wiki. Flay won the iron chef battle.
Side note they introduce Dave as WWE Champion. Dave has never been WWE champion, he has been a 3 time World Heavywieght Champion, at the airing of the episode he didn't have any champion, also I doubt he was champion at the taping.[/fan boy]

I've had both. They do usually use alot of garlic butter when cooking snails but I think they both kinda taste like chicken.... then again what dosent these days :D

I don't think a single dish was snails in garlic butter on Iron Chef. On guy was Indian (dot head, not tonto), and he did a bunch of Indian style dishes with crazy spices.
I was fairly impressed with Dave though, he didn't make an ass out of himself. Also there were a few cracks about him being big and giving him large portions and whatever and he just laughed it off.
