Yes, I am smoking the Shadow pot. I do believe that he will win the title at No Mercy. True, he got suspended twice for the drug thing. However, they need to capitalize on his popularity. They have talked about with them debuting on My Network TV, that they want a credible champion. In my opinion, Jeff Hardy clearly brings in the younger people (12-18) and if the WWE were smart, they would put the title on him. You are drawing to a younger demographic these days, so be smart.

I might be the only one who doesn't give you a "what the fuck are you talking about?" response, but that's because I agree with you. Jeff is probably the most over guy in the company right now (could be wrong, but that's why I said probably) so it'd be good to capitalize on that.

Also, it seems like every promo involving him since his move to SD!, his counterpart has said something about him screwing up and never being able to win the big one (MVP, Trips, etc.). I think it would be good to put the belt on him so he can be like, "Yeah I screwed up but I got my shit together and won the big one" or something. I'd love to see him get the belt because I think he deserves it. Sure he's made some mistakes, but he's paid his dues and it's his time.

I think the field of Smackdown is a lot more conducive to a successful Jeff Hardy reign than the field of Raw would have been. It would certainly shake things up a bit.

I'd love to see it happen, but I'm not holding my breath. It could. I thought for sure he'd win it this year until his March fuck up.

But I never would have thought CM Punk would get the title this year, or that Jericho would get another run.
So who knows. If he does win, it will add to how crazy of a year it has been for new champions, in a good way.

If Jeff wins it will definatly at least in my eyes show that WWE is trying to turn things around by putting on new stars, newly risen stars, and returning stars instead of older wrestlers who have passed around the title like it was nothing over the past few years.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Also...if Jeff were to win the title I'd have an excuse to put Smackdown on my DVR.

What the fuck are you talking about?

If your talking to me, I mean somebody that should have the title besides Hunter/Cena/Edge/Batista/

Pretty much summed it up :y:

As long as it turns into a Jeff/MVP feud afterwards, I'd eat that shit up.

Pedigree. BAH GAWD PEDIGREE. Triple H retains the WWE Championship.

and if the WWE were smart, they would put the title on him.

At times I dont think the words WWE & Smart go together, however I agree with you, Hardy has worked his way up, he has gone from being a great tag teamer to a great individual wrestler. He is prepared to take risks and put his body on the line to win a match.

After the scramble match he had that little hand shake with HHH which to me indicates that they are considering him for the title, putting him 3 seconds away from winning it helps build up toward a good match between him and HHH. Also HHH's reason for moving to SD was so he could spend more time with his family so to take the title away from him at no mercy isnt that far fetched as if he isnt the belt holder he doesnt need to be at every show for the time being.

I personally think we may see a title switch at No Mercy. Triple H has been WWE Champion for ages, and if he retains against Jeff Hardy, it knocks his momentum down so much. Hardy going over freshens things up, creates a new legit main eventer, and if Triple H is going to break Ric Flair's record, he needs to drop the title to win it back.

Definately gonna happen before the end of the year. Dunno about No Mercy though. Maybe next month is more realistic IMO.

Jeff Hardy has already been World Heavywight Champion twice, so I dunno, I see WWE using that logic to not give him the title, and give it to MVP or Shelton instead.

Probably not, but I too would like to see Hardy win it legitimately instead of in some silly means-nothing gimmick match.

I see Jeff winning the world title at Mania. Jeff vs. HBK for the WWE Championship baby.

I can actually see it happening too. He's been beaten by Triple H a couple times already and he's lost a couple title matches already and on top of that, they seemed to be setting it up with that little promo to open up Smackdown! this week.

In my opinion, I believe the wrestler who is written in the storyline to win and subsequently wins will win the match at No Mercy.

Don't know whether or not it would be a good idea, but it would certainly be interesting.

I think the powers-that-be maybe see Jeff as too much of a risk. Drug suspension, injuries, houses burning down - there's no guarantee this guy would be able to stay active on the roster long enough to warrant the belt.

Plus, IMO he's been looking a bit out of shape and sloppy as of late.

No so much out of shape as in always beaten down, he isn't as energetic as he was back in 2002 but he is a spot monkey so I'm sure its taking a toll on his body now.

It needs to be special like the Benoit title win at Mania XX. I can wait for Orton vs Hardy II.

A shame they keep pushing him.

If anything, they're oblivious to the risk.

I personally don't see putting the belt on Jeff Hardy as a huge moment or something that needs to happen at WrestleMania. I really don't think Jeff Hardy himself is that special. The fans care about him, he's a decent worker, and he's improved a lot and was a fireball of heat earlier this year. They're all reasons to reward him with a title reign, but I think if the WWE builds it up too much, they're setting themselves up for too much of a fall. Put the WWE Title on Jeff Hardy, sure, but it's nothing to make a big song and dance about.

There's also the whole point of Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy being ECW Champion and WWE Champion respectively after No Mercy (a PPV that they innovated the Ladder Match on). The WWE could surely move some merchandise with that.

Especially after Jeff Hardy's in-ring promo on Smackdown, I think it's defintely likely he'll win the title at No Mercy.

Seems to me he has to win the title this time. There's a fine line between being on the cusp of being champ and being a guy who everyone knows will never win the title.

But then I awlays read that this Kozlov guy keeps getting involved, so I assume that dude will be in the title picture. Seems like they are leading to a three way.

It would be cool if Hardy got the title, and then Edge can come back and fued with him over the title. Meanwhile HHH can fued with Kozlov.

Should save it for Mania. Jeff should win the Rumble and build the run up.

Jeff is like Kennedy to me, he needs to go a good 6 months without fucking up for being injured before you should invest in him.

Jeff could be champ, but I don't think he should be until he prooves he can get his act together, and I'm a high Hardy mark

If they give Jeff the title, they had better give him round-the-clock supervision to make sure he doesn't fuck it up.

Jeff 24/7 on demand!

They could give it a 24/7 rule and have a camera/live webcast on him the entire run.

I think Triple H will hold onto the belt now. The thing is, it won't jumble plans too much, because both guys are faces, either one can still feud with whoever was next in line. Jeff is by far his own worst enemy.
