View Full Version : Anyone Remember A WB Batman Series?
I was just thinking about this. Didn't the WB recently come out with a series about the daughter of Batman and Catwoman? If they did, does anyone recall what it was called?
Edit: I just remebered what it was called. It was "Birds of Prey" and it was cancelled after 11 episodes. Oh well, I never really watched it...just curious.

Yeah, I saw the last episode. Pretty crap.
It's hard to make a series out of a comic book without either making it boring or overtly cheesey.

I remember it.
Never watched it, looked pretty sucky.
Clearly was seeing as how it barely lasted a season.

I have no clue what you are talking about. I definently havnt seen it. The only thing that popped in my head when you said that was Teen Titans and that show kicks ass.

Smallville is real good, Birds of Prey was crap though.
They changed some facts around in Birds of Prey, put some supernatural themes in their and changed some of the relationships around. And they gave The Huntress weird "powers" when she wasn't really supposed to have them.
Mia Sara played Harley Quinn though... she played Bueler's gf in Ferris Bueler's Day off.
Save Ferris.
Smallville is real good, Birds of Prey was crap though.
Actually I think Smallville sucks too. I watch it ever now and then, but the drama is just a bit too thick for me. :-\
The only real series I even watch on the WB is Angel, and it looks like WB is going to cancel it this season to make room for some crap show that won't draw in nearly as many ratings (whoo..run-on rant :D ).

Smallville's pretty good. I don't get WB, so I have to watch shows either on DVD or in syndication, so I've only seen season 1. The major annnoyance for me is the whole omnipresence of kryptonite thing.
For the most part, I don't miss having WB anyways. I never liked Angel, because he seemed like too much of a mopey bitch.
OTOH, I love it when companies cancel shows, then bitch about how nothing can replace them.
I loved Birds of Prey and was pissed when cancelled. At least they realized that there was a small following and instead of just ending the show and leaving you hanging they did a two hour movie to end it and closed up all the loose ends for the most part and left it somewhat open if it ever got picked up again.
I must admit it was somewhat strange how they explained a few things. In the end it was just a different twist on the Batman universe though that could have happened I guess.
Never gotten into Smallville.

So...
An unpopular show with a small fanbase gets a two-hour wrapup, while Galaxy Rangers (Which had a large following) is dropped with no ado.
