That first disc looks amazing

GD
09-26-2008, 03:04 PM
Sure does. No Eddie vs. Benoit BTW.

Rob
09-26-2008, 03:20 PM
No Benoit vs. HHH from the tribute shows either.

Evil Vito
09-26-2008, 03:24 PM
lol they include the whole Eddie tribute editions of Raw and SD that week and exclude the main event from it just because Benoit was in it

Benoit will officially never be on a WWE DVD again. This was his only remaining chance.

---

But, I don't really give a fuck because the rest of the DVD looks amazing.

Destor

They could (in theory) be on there. The WWE has chosen no to advertise Benoit, but they've included him on the cards he was on, so he might make it on the Eddie Tribute. That I think is pretty likely, however Eddie vs Benoit is less likely.

Did Eddie and Flair ever wrestle on tv when Eddie became a main eventer in WWE? The crowd would have been ridiculously hot (Especially when Eddie was a face).

I can't wait for this DVD.

Definately getting this DVD. Wish they could have put Eddie vs HHH from April 2004, but apart from that cannot fault the lineup of matches

Why no Benoit? Cause he comitted suicide?

Pretty stupid reason.......

Other than that, DVD =:y:

Why no Benoit? Cause he comitted suicide?

Pretty stupid reason.......

I think it has more to do with the two people he FUCKING MURDERED, but I could very easily be wrong...

...anyways, yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Benoit's spot in the tribute show is there, but not advertised.

Looks like an amazing DVD set...probably gonna get it.

I found out that here in the U.S. one national chain is going to have the Raw Tribute Show as a bonus disc exclusive and another national chain is going to have the Smackdown Tribute Show as the other bonus disc. So while those on the UK get it in one disc those in the U.S. have to buy 2 diff copies to get the complete tribute shows. Best Buy is going to be one of the stores so I guess the other will be likely Wal-Mart. K-Mart, FYE etc.

Evil Vito
09-27-2008, 10:53 AM
That's pretty gay...but then again I don't even need to buy the bonus discs. I'm pretty sure I've got both tribute shows on a tape somewhere.

Team Sheep
09-27-2008, 01:53 PM
Lol that's stupid. Instead of buying 2 copies you might aswell just shell out for the UK version, if you have a multi region DVD player that is.

No Benoit vs. HHH from the tribute shows either.

I should imagine they are on there seeing as its the whole show. Its will probably be like any other ppv Benoit is on in the anthology sets, its there, but not advertised on the box itself.

El Fangel
09-28-2008, 05:18 AM
I wonder if they will show Eddie and Benoit hugging in the ring at WM20

Lord-Of-Darkness
09-28-2008, 05:23 AM
Perhaps, although I find it unlikely seeing as it was the end of Benoits match. So there isn't a direct reason for them to put it in. Unless they put in the video you posted, unedited.

El Fangel
09-28-2008, 05:55 AM
Yeah, I agree. Its unlikely, but they should because it was one of those great moments in Eddies career.

Lord-Of-Darkness
09-28-2008, 06:13 AM
But on that note, there are plenty of great Benoit moments/matches that should have been in the compilation DVDs, but were ignored for that reason. I don't see this being any different.

One of the best things about Eddie Guerrero was that even at a late stage of his career, he was able to play an excellent heel. Like an insanely good heel. For someone so charismatic, talented in the ring and generally beloved by wrestling fans, this showed something special.

But that did the trick :(

I cannot hear that song without thinking of Eddie... Which is why it shouldn't be allowed in bars. A few months back I was pretty buzzed at a local bar when someone put this on the juke box. Pretty much teared up at the bar.

Tazz Dan

Hurt has been my message tone on my phone since his tribute shows.

I still think of Eddie when I hear it. :'(

I could not think of a more fitting song they could have packaged that with.

Just think how great he could have been over the last 2 years. :(

Most of the DVD players in the US will not play discs from the UK. This is done on purpose, so that the video industry can sell discs to different regions of the planet at different paces and not have to worry as much about people importing the UK version, which might be a different "cut" due to cultural biases, to the Middle East, or Japan, or the US, etc.

There are DVD players, known as "Region-Free" players that will play discs from any region. I have one at my comic book store in order to play some DVDs that I got imported from Japan and the UK that aren't available in the US. I bought it at a Best Buy - a Pioneer model DV-400V. It also plays WMVs, MP3s, is RW compatible, has a USB port, and also touts "Photoviewer".

BigDaddyCool

Yeah...how can you have a Eddie Guerrero dvd without Benoit being on it, they were joined at the hip careerwise.

Thanks for the heads up. Just quickly though, I'm from Australia, not America. I also happen to manage an electrical store owned by Australias biggest retailer. :p

So yeah, I don't really want to buy a region free dvd player, but IF I did, the pioneer would be the go :y:

And also, Region Free and Progressive scan are 2 COMPLETELY different things.

And also, Region Free and Progressive scan are 2 COMPLETELY different things.

I really thought that was the case, but I've seen the two terms used interchangably other places, so I was a bit confused. going to fix the earlier post now.

BTW, forgot to mention that my Pioneer player only ran $150. Not too outrageous.

I would also refer people to the following wikipedia article:

Dalip Singh aka The Great Khali killed Brian Ong on May 28, 2001 in training at the APW school in California.

Proved wrong.
