New DS Lite design!
Punch Out Wii!
Mario and Luigi 3
soooooo much more. I'm super excited.
The North American conference is tonight I think. I imagine it'll be mostly the same things.

Meh. Some of those features are cool, but not worth buying a new console. Especially one that ditches the GBA slot.

The fucking Pikmin that was mentioned at E3 is a fucking Cube remake.
I'm so mad I might sell my Wii. DS, however is looking tasty gamewise.
They did at least sort out the Wii storage thing by playing off SD card. I wonder how much DRM that solution will use.

Content on the Wii already uses DRM. Doubt they need to up it. Wish they'd let us do it off an HDD though. You know, what they promised before launch.
I hear Samurai Warriors 3 was announced for Wii, though I hope it's not exclusive to it. I don't want motion controls gimmicking up my ass-kicking fun.
Punchout should be effin' awesome.
I want to kick Nintendo in the "nonos" for the new DS, though.

I agree, though the differences in the battery life irk me the most.
-edit- I also am a little scared at the functionality of the touch on the top screen. While it's cool for innovation, I don't want my fairly new DS Lite out in the cold on some new games that recommend use of a touch screen on top.

It was confirmed there is going to be two touch screens? The original link in Dorkchop's post didn't make any indication, nor does any other source :-\

I'm actually really excited abut the new DS. Maybe they ditched the GBA slot because people just aren't buying or playing GBA games anymore. I know there are some nerds like us who still love the GBA though.
I'm pretty disappointed with the Wii storage solution.

They likely dropped it solely for the purpose of making it smaller.

Kinda kills the whole Guitar Grip thing for Guitar Hero. Unless Neversoft makes something new. I like how this show was what E3 should have been but it seems Nintendo isn't thinking of their 3rd parties. They didn't even let Lucas Arts in on their Motion Plus add-on while they were developing their Star Wars game specifically focused on handling a lightsaber. Back to Neversoft, they solved the puzzle of DLC on Wii through what I imagine was magic and selling their souls to Satan. C'mon, Nintendo isn't making a 'developer's' console these days. I remember hearing how easy GCN was to develop for but the Wii, as cool as it is, doesn't seem developer friendly. I've sat down wonder what I'd do if I was tasked with creating a game for Wii and it wasn't a fun or easy endeavor. You can understand why we've been seeing half-ass ports and... Escape From Bug Island(?!?).
Nintendo, DSi is cute; but HDD, HD visuals, an updated GCN controller, an overhauled online network, and no more crap like Wii Music. Wii Fit was one thing but now you're making games that aren't games by definition? Sony suffered for their arrogance, learn now or watch your lead dip in 2010.

My mistake. Last night a few sources definitely said both were...but those were obviously wrong. That puts me more at ease.

The DS needs more touch screen games that are held like a book.

What I want is a fucking downloadable update to Smash Bros that lets you turn off the random slipping while running. Tired of dominating and then getting fucked over by slipping in the final moment.
And the Smash Ball. Final Smashes are great and all, but some times my brothers and I like to just throw down in a triple threat without items.

Yeah Smash Balls can be turned off. I doubt that would just be a PAL version thing.
I'm interested in the DSi but I can't see the new functions being used in a game so they do become a bit useless.

I might get the new DS, since my ex took it in the custody battle. I can always get a GBA Micro or something on the cheap if I wanted to play GBA games.
