Honestly!
They have the best announce team. Striker has been better than JBL and FOley together. Grisham fills the play by play role amazingly. Once JBL retires and the King does too, these 2 will be the top tandem on their level.
There are no wasted matches or roster spots. Every single guy in ECW is either established or up and coming. Not to mention they are all great workers.
There are no stupid storylines, no stupid gimmicks.
If I was trying to attract a new audience, I would have them watch ECW.

They also do a great job bringing in the other shos to really make the show better.

Mark Henry can be argued as a wasted roster spot. I'm not saying he is, but other would.

This is the best Mark Henry anyone has seen, just saying he's figured out how to be a big man and not completely suck

Irrelevent of your opinions of him, he is being used to his fullest potential. I don't think that's even debateable.

Plus, his theme music is awesome
I hope they bring Morrison back into the ECW Championship race.

No, I'm on board with you. ECW is a place for midcarders to develop. And he is the dominate heel that makes the faces have to use every trick in the book because of his sheer size and strength. It is booking 101 with him, plus he is kinda ugly, while most of the other guys on ECW are mildly good look, so it is classic heel v babyface.
Plus ECW has John Morrison.

How can you argue with Morrisons abs?

IF you could honestly Men In Black style erase our memories of Henry's first 10 years in the WWE (Isnt is sad he has been around nearly a dozen years?!?!) I would buy him as the top heel in the company.
The guy just has that look like no one can beat him. It is so easy to book someone like him, and they finally got it going.
I also like the fact that he has Atlas. Kind of a thing where he had all the tools, but now Atlas tought him how to use them and he is now a monster.

You see this week? On his way to the ring the 4 faces in the 8 man tag started jawing at him. His response?
"Whatever. I have great abs".
Love it.

Monday while commentating, Morrison said something about grating cheese on his abs. Morrison is my favorite preformer.

Atlas brings that extra dimension to Mark Henry. Henry is already a monster of a man, so what does he need Tony Atlas there for? Nothing, execpt cheating. The only thing I would ad, is getting a little skinny hype man for to run around Mark Henry shouting about how Henry is the greatest, while Henry stands there looking mean and stoic.

Incidentally, when was the last time Mizark went this long without injuring himself or someone else?
BigDaddyCool
10-08-2008, 09:51 AM
That is on top of having Atlas there as the manager. You know what...maybe they could get Ezekiel Jackson as Mark Henry's bodyguard, steal him away from Kendrick. Now, you may be asking why does Mark Henry need a bodyguard on top of a hypeman, and a manager (that just so happens to be Tony Atlas). He doesn't, that is why. But it just stacks the odds in his favor and looks impressive when he walks out.
Kinda like how boxers have a hole slew of assistants coming out.

He is up against younger more bendable guys, that is one of the reasons he hasn't injured someone.

ECW is by far my fav WWE show. I've been pumping up Striker on commentary since his first day.
I said this before but I think Striker appeals to the IWC. He drops references to moves that only a real wrestling fan would get.

IMO, ECW is still pretty terrible. A glorified heat. Many times they try to cram way too much into an hour and it shows. All of my friends ahve been hardcore wrestling fans for as long as I can remember and none of us really watch it anymore. Which is aggravating as shit when we are watching RAW and Evan Bourne or somebody that we don't know comes on. Matt HArdy to this day is still one of my favorite wresters and has been for awhile so maybe I should try to watch more but I find it unbearable most the time.

Once Matt Hardy is done with his program agains Mark Henry, I'm willing to bet he has to go against John Morrison. That should be a good fued.

SO ECW = Terrible because you dont watch wrestling anymore and you dont know who people are.
Yeah, good reason.
And for cramming too much in, what are you talking about?
Last night had like 4 parts....
Opening Tag match
Backstage segment setting up Henry vs Noble
Henry Vs Noble w/ Hardy run in
Main Event
Where was the cram ins? That is the standard ECW lineup. 3 matches and a backstage segment.
WHich is far less than Raw once did in their 1 hour.
Try again.

I dunno, The problem is how do they give Morrison a main even push while he is still attached to the Miz? I dont see them splitting anytime soon, so I doubt he gets his day in the sun anytime soon.
Honestly they should be on Smackdown feuding with the Colons. Fans would eat that up. Would be the biggest tag program in awhile.

They should go to the upper card together and never separate. They compliment each other well.
I agree Mathew. ECW is great.

I never thought I'd see the day that Mark Henry actually gets praised for something.
I always thought Mark had decent music, but thanks to Innovator's post, I must now say it really is awesome.

I know I just quoted the very last sentence of your post, BDC, but the whole of it sounded like a good idea.:y:

I just want ppl to know that i have talking about Morrison ever since he changed his persona from Johnny Nitro. tbh
Seriously, this guy is going to be the future just because of his "whatever, i have great abs" shit and his moveset that i wish they would allow him to do during matches. They are WAY unique and like no one else. He could definitely get over as a BIG heel that would make him and Miz hated as much as the NAO when they first came on the scene.

Taking Ezekiel Jackson away from The Brian Kendrick is a horrible idea. Just horrible. Henry is fine with Tony Atlas, who adds a lot of legitimacy to Henry's status by just being a Hall of Famer and admitting he'd carry Henry's bags.
Maybe have Tony Atlas bring two random women with him to ring as "ring girls" for Mark Henry? The World's Strongest Man himself should never get distracted by them, though. They're just there for decoration, and imply that Atlas is living the good life through Henry's skills. It inserts the useless whores the WWE loves having around in a convenient way.
If you want to add an active wrestler to Henry's posse, make it D'Lo Brown over from RAW. They have a history together, and Brown is a good worker not being used to his full potential on RAW. Another option is Elijah Burke, who is currently doing nothing, and could serve as a hype machine for Henry. Burke and Brown as a tag team on ECW would be great, too. It means they could float between SmackDown! and RAW, depending on which team scene needs them more.
The problem with Zeke Jackson joining Henry is that they both have the big, black serious dude thing going on, and those gimmicks being put together would cause them to blend. Plus, it leaves Kendrick dangling in the wind. You might not care about him, but his whole gimmick is that he is playing it smart by getting heavy back-up. Zeke leaving would destroy that.

But yes, ECW is a damn fucking solid show. I'm really liking it how guys are getting room to breathe there. Evan Bourne and Ricky Ortiz are both catching on and getting over there, which is definitely a good thing. The one talent that I think is not being used to his maximum potential there (besides the obvious answer of Elijah Burke), is Finlay. I'm not a hater of the face gimmick, it just feels like he is drifting.
I would not mind the show being bumped up to two hours, because I think the writing team is competent enough to make it work.
