for some reason, I saw this one. I am normally surprised by releases, but I felt like all he did was just stand there and get his ass kicked. He was really a let down in my opinion in this whole angle. He reminded me of Lenny Lane back in WCW when he was Jericho's lackey. This past week I honeslty was thinking the WWE was going to drop him soon. He just came off as sooo generic. Especially in his current role.
I did enjoy his tag work and I think the WWE really wanted to make him a singles star and maybe they finally saw it would never pan out. Could be other things for the release though

Lance Cade is a talented guy, but he did come off as very generic in his "main event" run. I feel that is just as much the WWE's fault as his, though. I mean, he was the third wheel in an epic white hat/black hat showdown between Shawn fucking Michaels and Chris fucking Jericho. As much potential as Lance Cade has, he hasn't earned a "fucking" between his names yet.
Cade should go to Japan, or TNA. I'd like to see Cade and Murdoch in TNA to help out with their tag team division, actually. It'd also be a chance for a guy who actually appeared semi-important in the WWE to show up in TNA as a lowly tag team guy, and not give them a crack at the TNA World Title within the first month.

what they could do... *Noid Post alert*
...is say that TNA does in fact sign Cade and Murdoch. They could just align them with Beer Money, Inc. and make them like a 4-man modern version of the Freebirds. For some reason, I'm fond of the name "Team Albatross" (because the best redneck band of the 'Birds era was Lynrd Skynrd, and I feel the best "redneck band" of this era is Corrosion of Conformity.) Then, have them just be hell raisers for themselves. Make them separate from the young guys and the veterans and give them a chance to sign.

This is fucking retarded. If he he has a recent history of epilepsy, then he shouldn't of even been hired.
This is beyond stupid.
The thing is, if a doctor tells you they dont know what caused the seizure, thats a good thing. If they did know, its usually something major and bad. Doctors tell people who have seizures this all the time.
So from what i read, they didnt find signs of anything being wrong. So WWE must be pretty uninformed or something else happend that i'm just not understanding.

Alcohol or some other druf with efederin is the only "bad judgement" call that could lead to a seizure. But only if he still has them, and his neural patterns aren't normal. In which case, he shouldn't evenbe working there.
And having a seizure is always a bad thing, because it's very rarely a stand alone incident. He'll likely have more.
Dunno, not really enough info yet.

YOu know Noid, I've never actually seen you blame the talent for their short comings. You ALWAYS blame managment. Cade was given plenty of opportunities. And despite what you say being a in a program with the like of an HBM or a Jericho should make you over. It's called the rub. Even with getting the rub off these TWO larger than life performers he STILL found a way to not be over. Just lke he failed to get over at EVERY other juncture of his WWE career. At some point he has to point the finger at himself. And you should point it at him too.

yea, Cade was given wayyy to many opportunities and I think a major reason was because he had ties to HBK and the WWE seemed pretty high on him from the start. You know they wanted to see him succeed, but he just never had "IT." With his current storyline, I was really hoping he would finally get over and run with it, but he was total garbage. He got his ass kicked, yes, but you can get your ass kicked all the time and still come out looking like a million bucks. He was so boring with Jericho. He brought nothing to the table.

No, it's very possible, and actually reasonable. What if he has another one in the middle of a match? He could hurt himself and others. Possibly fataly.
Epilepsy is not predictable.
Pretty sure it's not from epilepsy. If it is, sure, I can see it, but I seriously doubt it. But even then, the release was too sudden for it to be a medical-related release.

Although I think Cade was a flop for the most part (i.e. lack of charisma, etc.), I actually found him somewhat entertaining in the end (i.e. whenever he would try and save Jericho, he'd get his ass kicked).
At No Mercy for instance when he tried to help Jericho (and got his ass whopped), people in the crowd actually found it funny.
In a strange sort of way, the ass-whippings were actually helping Cade get over. I kind of wished that the WWE made something into that (perhaps similar to Patterson/Brisco from the glory days when they were Vince's stooges).
Aside from that though - I didn't see much in Cade...and don't care too much that he's gone.
One guy who I wouldn't mind seeing be Jericho's *new* lackey, is D'Lo Brown.
D'Lo needs to get over with the fans again. D'Lo has great charisma and can be an AMAZING heel. D'Lo being Jericho's right hand man would serve him well in my opinion. At a much later date (12-18 months from now?...or later), the WWE can use the awesomeness of D'Lo's heel character to turn him back into a face (or just keep him as heel).
In order to be a tremendous face, you have to be a tremendous heel first (well...for most people). :)

No, I blame talent, too. The thing is Lance Cade was a part of the HBK/Jericho angle in a very minute way, and at a time when it really should have been the two solo guys. Cade has very rarely "failed" in his career. His stuff with Trevor Murdoch was pretty fucking good, actually.
Cade himself is a good talent, and I'm not going to reverse myself on that. He may not be fantastic, but he's got a lot of upside. For his size, he's especially good. He didn't stand-out in the Jericho/HBK stuff, but when you think about it, he didn't really work any matches, he didn't really cut any promos, he didn't have attire that didn't look home-made up until the end, an he didn't get theme music that wasn't completely retarded and generic.
As it turns out, however, it was Lance Cade's fault he got released. Sounds like he had a cocktail of no-nos. Cade, and only Cade, is responsible for that.

Everyone keeps going on about Cade and Murdoch, but I recall Cade saying right after Murdoch was let go that he hated working with him, and never would again no matter how much money they tossed at him.
Well, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are accepting independent bookings together, so I'd say that isn't true.
And the reason Cade had the seizure?
DRUG ABUSE!
Nobody will believe you dude so don't bother saying it. People here believe whatever they want to.

I don't know how anyone could get anything other than drug abuse from JR's blog. :-\
Just so its known, seizures are a common occurance when you overdose on GHB. It's more than likely this is what caused him to get shitcanned.
